How’d you get the lock ring in place I’m having a hell of a time doing it? I’ve beveled the ring replaced it used new gasket and old gasket and still can’t get it on the back side

Make sure pump housing is the same and if you can just get an edge started hit it with screw driver and small hammer

I'm having a bitch of a time getting the slots to line up so the fuel pump will lock down. I'm also dealing with an almost full fuel tank which I'm going to empty before I make another attempt.

Hopefully it’s the same notches sometimes I reuse the old seal cause new one is too fat
