2006 Dallas Cowboys Highlights
It's Parcells' final season as the Cowboys head coach. Probably because he couldn't believe he kept his starting quarterback as the holder for extra points and field goals. Something he hopefully still regrets to this day.
But in comes Terrell Owens. And the unstoppable force of the 18th overall pick, rookie and special teams ace, Bobby Carpenter. He actually made a good play in the playoff game in Seattle. But at the same time, I wonder how the season would have been different if the Cowboys had drafted Tamba Hali or Manny Lawson or Mathias Kiwanuka.
But I also wonder how much better this highlight video would have been if I would've had NFL Network and could have recorded the Falcons game. Hint: The Falcons game isn't on here. Sorry.
But to make up for that, enjoy those Mat McBriar punts and watching Albert Haynesworth act confused as to why he's being ejected from the game only because he pulled Andre Gurode's helmet off and stomped his face with 2" metal spikes.

R.I.P Marion Barber
Watching these highlights you wouldn't believe we lost that game at Washington after getting that final completion to put us in field goal range with 6 seconds left. We had the kicked block and a facemask tackle to bring down the defender to set up Washington with their own FG to win it. I was in a state of disbelief and borderline denial.

I was at the titans game, I remember seeing romo taking the final snaps of the game. Never thought he’d be the next great cowboys quarter back

The fact the Jerry hired Wade when he had Payton and Zimmer and a young Eberdfluas removes all hope for this teams evaluation process.

i miss romo. duk prescott only makes me miss him more. still remember how happy i was when bledsoe got benched. now there is no one like tony that's gonna save the team when #4 slides against REAL teams. if nothing else, we don't have to see coach clapper....
This season had the greatest impact on the franchise since Jimmy left

Thus far since jimmy left, yes. You could argue 2003 as well. They were contending with the eagles for the division until they lost that second meeting to them

Deuce I love these yearly highlights! But what I really need is a highlight reel of all of Romo's "wow" plays. Any chance that you could go through 2006-2015 and compile them all? PLEEEEEEAAAASE?

Thanks buddy! That's a pretty good idea. I may have to do something like that. Probably after I'm out of seasons, maybe I'll go back and do that kind of thing for certain players. Thanks for the idea!

I just watched the full replay of the 2006 Cowboys vs Saints last night. That was a proper ass whooping by the Saints. My favorite part was when the Saints started taking a knee inside the Dallas 5 yard line with 3 minutes left to play. I think Parcells was more embarrassed by that than if the Saints had run it in for another score. I wish I had been privy to the conversation between the teacher and student after the game. I think one reason that Sean Payton is such a good coach is because of Bill Parcells.

Yeah, that was an unadulterated beatdown. After the long Julius Jones run, it was all downhill for the Cowboys after that. I'm sure Parcells was pissed but also proud of Payton.
Cant believe you left out the end of the game at washington. One of the craziest cowboy losses i ever saw
