2006 Acura RSX Type-S DC5 Build // No-Start Repair // Idle Issue // Tein Coilover Installed (Ep 2)

In this episode of this series, we will start by dealing with our no-start issue, an alternator replacement. Then we are getting back on track with our build by installing a set of Tein Basis Z coilovers. And finished off our video with repair of a high idling issue due to a bad Idle Air Control Valve (IAC).
In the next episode, our team will jump to the interior and give this DC5 a full make-over.

@@danielkaminske5048 Iknow what that's like, here in Canada I have a turbo 2002 RSX-S on about 6.5 psi getting about 260whpand about 200wtq on the stock engine and clutch and on the stock pump which I changed.

yeah, the design is nice. I like the rear arches that look flared like a RWD car.
This RSX S needs a full cleaning & resto! Cannot wait to see that.
Seeing you guys working on these cars takes me back to what seem like the good old days. Miss my RSX as well as the 95 integra. I was just at the Acura dealership earlier today looking at the new Integra and really like it. It's definitely nothing like the coupe integra but still a pretty nice car.
I love this channel! ...all of these cars were in my dream-car garage in high school and college (and now I'm an ITS owner 😃).
A friend taught me that you can pull the alternator through the passenger headlight opening on the core support. Just learned a new removal strategy!

I know it is a bit late but Advance Auto actually sells Denso alternators, though they usually have to be ordered. Rarely do the stores have them in stock. I checked the website and it shows it as available. This is my go-to if oem is priced too high for my customers.

I took off the bumper and headlight and moved the T bracket forward. I got my a rebuild alternator from a local shop here in Canada.

Man i wish this video had been posted 3 years ago. My alternator went out in my type-s and i had the absolute worst time changing it. Hadn't seen anyone remove it like this at that time

On my 2002 RSX TYPE-S. bye the way raceland suspension is a good product I do recommend raceland that is a the closest where you want to be if your on street and city driving. Yall be cool.

did I miss a camber kit being installed? thats the only way to adjust camber on these car. either top hats or camber bolts

That's hilarious. @6:22 I use a piece of old sheet rock to protect my radiator 😂 Sidebar edit: couple questions: If the alternator didn't remedy the issue, what could it possible be the issue? what would be the next step? Hopefully this gets to you guys. Thanks!

I now raceland coilovers it's midrange from 450 euro to 800 euro I think it is European but they sell them also in north America they exist some time.
Did honda send y’all the “radiator protector tool”? It’s like corrugated white plastic. I thought it was funny and random considering what did they think we were doing all these years to protect the radiator.
