@@SethYoung-1890 should definitely have a go! also, i recently stumbled across an NXE console with an E74 RROD. it refactors for about 5 minutes and then dies. would a heat gun fix it enough for it to last a bit longer lol?

I own the Jasper Elite bought in early 2010, build date October of 08 manufacture I believe, 2 trinity slim consoles including the MW3 variant and 4GB given to me by a friend. I’ve always wanted an 05 Xenon, just the fact of having one that held up against Red Ring that early in the cycle is just INCREDIBLE, regardless of lacking the HDMI port. Meanwhile on the PS3 end, I own a bunch of the original backwards compatible launch models with the PS2 chips on the motherboard, highly prone to YLOD similar to the Red Ring, possibly mainly caused by the bad underfill on the 90nm RSX video chips, or from overheating due to bad fan settings and paste causing bad warps or cracks on the BGA chips. Mine are all modified, I loved the 360 more and still do, I had the BAD model from right after that feature was taken away growing up, so those launch A01 and B01 (REALLY rare, equivalent to the core 360 and that model was cut VERY early on) consoles were always the main priority, especially since so many of them fail and those original models are the only ones to emulate ps2 games near 100% successfully and accurately, and with the added benefit of 720p upscaling. These Xenons are sought after for blades more than anything, but other than that they have the same features as the newer ones with updates, fortunately not as dire of a situation

Finding a working Launch Xenon from 2005 is easy, but finding one still on the original GPU is really difficult. 99% of the ones that work have newer GPUs installed by MS under the 3 year warranty. The PS3 YLOD is less common than RROD because the system has better temperature targets to prolong the GPU’s life, even though both systems share the exact same chip
