2005 Redskins Highlights: The last Washington football team to win a playoff game
Joe Gibbs' second season of his second coaching stint was the last time the Washington football franchise won a playoff game. Larry and Sonny are on fire in these radio calls with FedEx absolutely ROCKING. The well-rounded Skins started 3-0 before a midseason slide forced them into the first of many 5-game winning streaks to finish 10-6 in seasons to come. Epic highlights include:
-The Monday Night Miracle: Santana Moss's 2 TD to beat Dallas
-Antonio Brown's kickoff return TD to beat Arizona
-Chris Cooley's epic 3 TD performance at home vs. Dallas
-Santana Moss's 3 TD performance the following week
-Sean Taylor's scoop and score TDs in back to back weeks to clinch a playoff berth and Wild Card win

What a time to be alive and witness Joe Gibbs’ coaching greatness. Team had zero business in the playoffs let alone getting a game. This my favorite team ever though. Best one I’ve witnessed.

I loved this team. I had a rough ending to 2005, personally, so seeing this team rally and make the playoffs (along with sweeping the Eagles and Cowboys) really helped my emotional state.

I really enjoyed that season and enjoyed so much getting the playoffs win in Tampa

great hearing larry michael on 1067 wjfk on some of the highlights that was a really good team back then i always remember the larry michael calls of the santana moss touchdowns to beat dallas on mnf listened to the game from mechanicsville md on star 983 and i picked up the signal in bear delaware just south of wilmington and not too far from philly httc!
Tana was the man, he will always be a Redskin great. There were many seasons where he was the only bright spot on the team.
I feel like this was the last really good team Washington had. That was a special year for Joe Gibbs.
