I am getting a custom race 93 octane Dyno tune next week also he is putting in a jlt 3 Cai air intake kits as well I'm super excited what are your thoughts on a Dyno tune? The cost is $450

My '05 w/5 speed auto has a K&N CAI and a very early Superchips 93 octane tune - 261 moved up to 282 rwhp. Only issue is the throttle is now way to sensitive when shifting trans. manually.

I just got a 06 GT, plan is Borla Exhaust, full piping, long tube headers, and air raid cold air intake. Do I HAVE to do the 93 tune? Or can I get away with something milder?

let me ask this if you retune the car should you go back to stock tune first then go to another tune or just go to tune.

When you purchase this tuner and you fill out the form for the custom tunes... If you don't fill it out can you just do it on the tuner when you get it or does the form need to be completed ... Worded weird I know sorry

What kind of exhaust do you have installed on yours?

The dealer can read whether or not you've changed the tuning on the ECU. Simply switching back to stock tune isn't going to fool them.

What's the point of putting on a race tune without going full throttle man

So could a guy by one of the tuners and feasibly tune 3 or 4 of your buddy's mustangs with it or does it learn a car and in effect become car specific?

if you need a tuner i got an older sct2 , 200 bux

if you were on stock tune, and you go to the race tune, would you have to tune at the gas station? or could you drive it on race with 89 to the gas station?

you can drive the car on 89 but i would not suggest it since timing will be advanced. i would say fill up with 93 drive it a little then upload the new tune.

YES! You have to use 93 octane gas, that's why it's labeled a 93 octane tune. Regular gas can easily cause engine damage due to detonation thanks to the spark timing advance.

g00fy skillz yeah, well there's a reason it's a 93 octane race tune. it was designed for 93 octane gas. it may run, but you will damage your engine and you're not getting full power. why the fuck would you install a 93 race tune then put 89 octane gas in? use an 89 octane tune if thats the gas you want to buy. i don't know what car you have, but if it has knock sensors it will dial back the timing if there's a problem to prevent actual engine damage, but in that case just install the 89 tune. you will get better power... or quit being a jew and fill up with 93 octane gas. it's like $10/mo more probably.

CAI's aren't mods... They don't add power, you can say you have an aftermarket one installed. Because a CAI came stock on the car... All a CAI is is an intake that pulls air away from the engine, which the stock one does. Wasting your money on CAI's if your looking for power.

The CAI he has requires a tune because it does actually let a lot more air in. The car won't even run with an airaid race CAI without a tune. I've never really believed in cold air intakes but after dynos and reviews of this one I'll be buying one soon.

not true I've seen car pick up over 30rwhp with tune & cai

You can get about 20hp with intake exhost and tune. Not close to 40. sorry bud

Its a frikken mail order tune and i doubt there is really any difference AT ALL Its all in your empty head and then you keep saying ...this is not for daily driving ...wtf do you think you have done bro ...you act like you threw a cam in there or something.
