Getting in, driving and feeling at ease - this is the unique experience offered by the S-Class w221. From the very first moment, man and machine enter into a harmonious relationship in the Mercedes S-Class.
This is also ensured by the well-proven control concept. The key characteristic is rapid access to functions which are used particularly frequently. The system is therefore specifically designed for redundancy: depending on his preferred habits, the driver is able to control functions such as the radio, TV tuner, CD/DVD changer, telephone and navigation system either using conventional switches, via buttons on the multifunction steering wheel or with the help of the improved COMAND system. The direct control switches in the center console are so ergonomically positioned that the driver is able to operate them conveniently and without looking down.
The innovative "Cockpit Management and Data System" - COMAND for short - offers even more features. In addition to the familiar telematic and audio units, various vehicle functions which previously required individual switches have now been integrated into the system. The central operating unit is the new COMAND controller on the transmission tunnel. It is used to select the main and sub-menus with which the required functions are activated. The handrest can be flipped up to reveal the telephone keypad.

Für 2006 - 2013 is der W221 für mich das beste Auto der Welt ! Fahre seit 2008 einen S 350 mit hohem Suchtfacktor! Bis heute immer noch ein Genuss ! Der Nachfolger W222 is auch sehr verlockend aber ich hänge immer noch an meinen W221 ! Is es sowas wie Liebe ?! 💘 😮😊❤ ...ja vielleicht!

Mine it's a S350L ,, doesn't have ventilated fronts seats (it's has rear ventilated seats tough and a fridge!). Why it's that? :(

انا عندي نفس السيارة . لكن فئه طويله و سقف زجاجي بانوراما وفيها كل المواصفات الرؤية الليلية القياده شبه الذاتيه إلخ إلخ ..لكن المشكلة في هذه السيارة الرائعة والأنيقة و الجميلة ان فيها إلكترونيات و مواصفات كثيره جدا وكل عطل فيها * يكسر الظهر* ماديا . التصليح و قطع الغيار غاليه جدا ولكن تبقى ليموزين و سياره راااائعه ً. .

I like the door panel but I don't like the console. Wood trim doesn't connect to the lower part of the console so it's look like the Bus console.

This is not true. For example, the model S 500 W 221 E 55, according to official data, had the following life cycle: 07.2004 / 06.2005 - 04.2009 i.e. production start-up pre-production series / standard production - end of production.

@@OldBenzClub Obviously I wasn't talking about when it went into production.I have a 2005 and it's a W220.I also have a 1995 and it's a W140.Generally,when people are talking about model years they're not talking about when production began.So it began production in 2005,it's still a 2007 which is a W221.

могу сказать одно машина хорошая сам влодею 221 S 2008 5.5 АМГ. но дороговато удовольствием но это же S клас не кия и не Лексус так што эсле хотите влодеть такой машиной то для начало вам понадобится 💰 штобе содержать S а так ракате 320

I don't like this one. Looks so old. It dated very quickly. The W220 and W222 look much better and have aged much more gracefully.
