If the spark plug you pulled out has a painted tip, it’s original.

They sure did have a painted tip
You got LUUUUUCKYEEE!!! Lol. Though im actually happy for you that you did. With all the $hitty cars that you work on its extremely nice to have a HIGHLY KNOWN issue go well.

Yeah it was nice to catch a break. I was wasn't mentally prepared to deal with a broken spark plug
I knew everything was gonna go smooth when I saw the length of the video. I've always done them with my 3/8" impact while the engine is hot. When I first some the boxes of spark plugs in the tray, I thought they were packs of cigarettes. Good job. With the price of used trucks these days it's a no brainer keeping that one around, especially with such low mileage

No smoking for me lol. I'm glad this job is done, now to find out why the engine is ticking 😓

@@themechanic6117 With the good ol 5.4 the ticking is either a broken manifold stud, timing phaser, or a roller follower.

Those all sound like shit jobs to do lol
I view ur videos bc (05) Nissan driving like a charm but learning different engine sounds. Also have a simple coder that helps. (Am 81). Wished more Hispanics would get into this trade. It’s recession- proof. Proud n glad u do this trade.
So much different than on my 2010 F150 4.6 . Mine look like just a regular plug.

Same here, that was one of the big things I was worried about. Next big thing is why is the engine ticking so loud...
I have an Altima and I have no idea why I'm watching this.🤣🤣

All the repairs are due to age ,not miles. Besides the repairs it's been good to us
@erocker78

@themechanic6117 it's clean and has low miles. Even aside from the sentimental value, it's a truck worth keeping and saving. Great video. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos showing you giving this thing the refresh that it deserves.

Nice job Jonathan! Good channel- I hope you’re able to keep and take real good care of that truck- for all of the obvious important reasons! Keep up the good work!

I'm trying to keep her going. Nothing more annoying than finally take it out for a drive only for another problem to pop up.

Nice, got lucky on that one. If one ever snaps on you in the future Lisle Spark Plug Remover - 65600 works like a charm.

That's what I thought I would have to buy. Luckily I didn't buy the tool first
Same on my V10.. take a day to get the rear cyl on both sides.. Then finish the rest on the next day.. 2000.. very careful with the threads and torque
I'm going to chalk it up to the low mileage as well. lol

Hey I'll take that win lol . On to the next repairs...
I have a 2005 Ford f150 with 75000 miles on it. I am the sole owner. Be honest, I can't afford gas money , 13 miles per gallon , Trade in value only 4500 this year at CarMax. Therefore, I rather keep it. Cause I move around a lot. Lol

Exactly, it's more useful as a truck that what it will sell for. If it has the original plugs I'd change them asap
Hey Jonathon, you see the short where the guy changed the spark plugs while the car was running?😂

Taking them spark plugs off sounds like the threads got arthritis.

After 100 years of ford they have issues with spark plugs ? hahaha Lame engineers

Yeah it's so stupid to think these engineers still have problems designing a spark plug ... it blows my mind
