Howard thought Chappelle was just as greedy as he is. That’s the only thing on his mind is how can I squeeze everyone for every single dollar.

I think Artie’s true dream was in Hollywood, not radio and not comedy. I get where he’s coming from. Howard definitely had jealousy whenever anybody had something else other than the show going on, because he always wanted to pursue things, but other than Private Parts and Son of the Beach he never did. The cartoon, Porky’s remake, and various other projects he alluded to. There was no need to beat down Artie’s movie here, all of the subtle jabs.

I get what you're saying, but it was sort like "If you wanna do it, DO IT. Don't come crying to me" He gave John a chance with this music, he tried with Scott's son's band. Depaces golf caddy. Benjy with this lousy Elisa thing. Jackie saying he can punch up scripts. I know Howard has issues but he wasn't wrong and didn't keet them down. Billy West actually got out and really made a career for himself and didn't look back.

Son of a beach wasn't that funny at all and private parts was OK because it was autobiographical but Howard is no actor. Can you imagine him hitting the beach in Saving Private Ryan? And insofar as being a creative script writer it puzzles me how a guy that could be witty and fast onnhis feet thought that fart level humor could be mainstream funny. He reveled in Artie's failures.

Artie's contract was made to allow him to work on outside projects, and take time off from the show. Howard violated the contract. He pressured artie out of jealousy. Guy had a listening audience of 18-million and had a film peak at 44-million at the box office

Artie Wanted as much money as he could get for the least amount of work. I don't blame him, everyone wants that, and when you have sitcoms knocking on your door that pay ten times as much and require half the work, it would be very hard to say no.

Ed helms left the office to make the hangover It’s not unusual Stern lives in his own world where everything has to come to him Remember when he said he would always do his show from the studio because coming in to work was how you do it. They now have college courses around Taylor swift They should have a narcissism class based on stern and quivers

It’s a real sick thing to be filled with absolute hate and anger when those around you find success. Howard intentionally sabotaged other peoples projects even though he barely paid his people. SJ has always been a dope but he was spot on hiding his tonite show deal from Howard until the last minute. Howard would’ve made it his top priority to ruin the deal had John given him a couple months to do it.

Except Howard was never the CEO of CBS radio nor the CEO of Sirius. He’s not signing the checks. He stated from day 1; he’s not involved in negotiating anyone’s deals but his own. Radio has never been able to compete with TV money.

@@JellyGoat666 when Howard got the $87 million dollar BONUS from Sirius in 2006 or so, Tim Sabian told Howard he should take $1 million of it and divide it up as a bonus to the paid staff of the radio show and Howard tv. It would’ve worked out to about 8-10 k a person. Howard flat out refused and immediately rejected it. Tim told the story himself. Just that example shows what an absolute dirtbag Howard is. It’s common at most businesses to reward their staff when a major financial gain is made as a direct result of their dedication. Howard has always been the weakest part of the show and never would’ve advanced beyond collage radio without comedic talent carrying him. The last 5 years has proven how talentless and creatively empty Howard is on his own.

Because Howard didn't say he can have time off, he said that he can leave whenever he wants. That's why Artie would always sign a short-term contract to keep his options open. But Howard didn't want him coming and going as he pleased. That being said Howard should have had no problem with Artie leaving for a few months to do a movie or other project. It would have been good publicity for the show and he would have been able to have other comedians sit in which would also have kept the show feeling fresh.

I think you can still find him.on some call ins and interviews on other podcasts. He must be broke though because he just won't fix that nose even though otherwise he looks better than he did when he hit the skids with Howard. One thing though. He seems so hyper these days but is fairly charitable regarding Howard except to.point out that Howard never returned his calls after some point long after his fall when he was calling only to say he was sorry. I'm surprised to see he hasn't made a comeback...pretty sure he's been clean and sober for a while. I think he's pretty witty and for a high school only.grad somewhat intellectual. That's why I was always puzzled about beer league. I think.he was trying to strike an Animal House nerve but it just didnt.

Howard is so dumb. Artie being gone from the show for three weeks would have made almost no difference and the fact that he could use the movie as a way to get content for the show and promote it would have worked in his favor. He could have also had other comedians sitting on the Jackie chair and it would have been fun to hear what the show sounded like with different people. Howard is just a big ego maniac and acts like anyone wanting to do anything differently than he wants is a personal attack
