With both titles decided the big news here was the bombshell that PSA were withdrawing both Citroen and Peugeot from the series at the end of 2005. Concerning the rally could Sebastien Loeb tie the all time record set by Didier Auriol in 1994 of 6 wins in a season? Also a sideshow to main factory boys Rally Australia saw the title decider of the PWRC for Group N specification cars. It was a 5 way fight for the title between Jani Paasonen, Xavi Pons. Toshi Arai and 2 British drivers Alister McRae and Niall McShea who many might recognise as Federick Schulin from the 2023 Gran Turismo movie. The Irishman was very fortunate to be the rally at all due to budget problems. The Irish rally fraternity raised 20k in a week to get him to this title decider would it pay off him lets find out. As ever Jon Desborough, Angus Scott and Robbie Head are your guides.
