2004 LB7 Duramax 3500 Dually Sat For Four Years!!! Will It Run?!?!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
We purchased a 2004 LB7 Duramax crew cab long box 2wd dually! It sat in a farmers field from 2017 to 2021 and was sunk into the mud! The mice got into the fuse box and wire harness, meriting some electrical repairs. Watch as we get this rig started after years of sitting!

@@edwardloose9668 I wouldn’t say that at all. I had a 99 (1500), 05 (1500), 08 (1500), 16 (2500) they all were great trucks. The 99/16 was the best, were all abused and other than the 08 : all made it to 200k miles. They all were sold running. My dad had an 05 2500HD that took more abuse than any truck I’ve ever seen. Yes, I’ve switched to Ford since. Since 19, the GM products seem to be SubPar compared to the competition. Pre-19 I would say they were overall great trucks : even the 1500s.

I fell in love with my 02 2500hd, SRW first time I test drove it. Sold it recently tho 😔. When the LB7 fires right up and purrs at idle, not much else can put a smile on your face that quickly. VERY little modification will get that engine to wake up. It has no emissions devices except a cat I believe. Cold air intake, intake heater delete, turbo pressure adder valve ($15 adds 8 pound boost), and possibly open up the exhaust and you're now at 350hp/600 lb ft so ez. Personally I'd sell the dually for a SRW 4x4. Duallys can't park anywhere. Not practical but I bet the dually can pull 25k lbs on the highway like butter. Fun video, brought back memories! Thanks 👍

@@MickelsonRacingChannel A good tune will make it very stout without hurting anything. Stock LB7 is in the 250-300HP / 500ft lbs area. You can add 100HP+ and 200 ft/lb+ with tune. Depending on the tuner selectable power levels so only when you need it you get the extra. Exhaust, some like CAI but I see conflicting info on how good they are in reality.
