just got my old '05 focus back on the road and before I took it off the road a few years ago the air wouldn't work. It started we're only the heat would work and then it would cut on and off and then the heat and the AC stopped working completely. I figured it was some kind of fuse or electric stuff because it was kicking on and off randomly. definitely going to try these tips tomorrow

I had a similar problem, ended up being the motor blower resistor. Will cost you about $20 at autozone. Its located under the glove box. All you need is a 7mm socket to remove the glove box and youll have access to the resistor.

Definitely going to check these out. My 04 today just started having AC issues where at 1 the AC is on but fan either isn't or takes some time, but as soon as I move it to 2-4, the AC light turns off, recirculation stays on and the fan still works. I'll check after my serpentine belt gets replaced to see if that might be an issue as well

looking my baterry discharge after using the AC ???

My brother-in-law has 2002 and I checked it out because the ac is not working, found that the ac clutch plug is melted and no power goes to it. I checked the fuse the relay and they have power. Need help His fuse and relay location on engine and inside car are different from the one on your video I’m thinking the two year difference has something to do with it??

Might be the Blower motor resistor . Inexpensive to change and pretty simple. Its located behind the glove box. I had the same problem and thought i needed a recharge. Checked all the fuses and relays and the were good. Fan just wouldnt work on all the speeds and the AC light would turn off.

Hi I have a 2003 Ford focus and the AC unit cost he goes on and off the clutch engage his disengage engage disengage every five seconds what could be wrong with it

Sounds like it could be low on freon

Also had a new compressor put in October 2020, I just bought car so I don't know if it was evaced and charged

My ac is blowing kinda cool air but not fully cold air what could it be?

Check your coolant level, if it's at a good level maybe need to put freon in ac

I think Freon has been banned in the US.

My 2004 STW Focus AC working only level 1 if I put it on 2,3,4 it not working , only fan working, whatta heck is problem ?

Do you mean the blower motor only works in level 1? I have a 2004 Focus but have no levels for the a/c, only the blower motor. Mine went out completely, saw a video of a guy who said to giggle the connector under the glove box, and when I did that, nothing happened. He also recommended to hit the blower motor a few times, that it may just be stuck. I hit the bottom of the motor (under the glove box) and it zoomed back to life. Good luck.

@@henrinaiva7574 The video I mentioned was one of Lehew Tech's videos in which he explained troubleshooting the blower motor. It worked for me. Hope it helps you.

Are u sure this is a 04 cause it is exactly like my 03 Ford focus just wondering 🤷‍♀️ like looks EXACTLY THE SAME lol

Most Ford models from '97-'04 look about the same.

My ac light on the button inside doesn't come on, does that mean that I need to charge the system?
