Yes it was a lot of work and took me 5 days and another F-150 will stay on the road. My customer is happy as well because he is going to come back and have me fix the rest of the issues that I had found while working on it. Thanks for watching.

Great job pete!! Those damn fords rust all to hell up here in massacussets!! I know I had 3 F-250 plow trucks,still got one!! Thanks for bringing us along!!

I am getting plenty of practice. My customer just came in and said he knows more people that need their frames fixed also. Looks like more videos to come. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. Each frame repair I get a little better but it seems to take more time though. Next time I'm going to try to sand blast first. Thanks for watching.

There are frame slip overs from dorman that makes this really easy job

I have put them on before. Sometimes I use the dorman but most of the time I use the custom bent steel, it's 1/8 the cost of the dorman. Thanks.

Great job Pete! Your replacement pieces fit and look much better than the Dorman repair pieces.

Thanks! Yes I have my local welding shop bend them for me. It's way cheaper.

@@petescustomcarshop The Blue Point scraping tool you were using is called a carbon scraper. I used to have the Craftsman version.

Awesome Thank you! Like for scraping the carbon off of the tops of the pistons? It works great to scale the rust off.

It was on our required tool list for high school auto shop. It sat in my tool box for years. I think it's a little aggressive for piston tops. Much better for scraping rust and scale.

That's pretty cool. I wonder if that's why my dad had this. He has multiple diplomas for auto and diesel and even taught automotive at a technical collage in Minneapolis for many years. Great info. Thanks
