2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale - a superb track-focused supercar | Collecting Cars

This Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale is a superb track-focused but road-legal supercar, which is believed to be the only example that left the factory in special order Blu Mirabeau paintwork. Added to its bespoke interior and desirable options, the specification is almost certainly a one-off, and as such will appeal to collectors and driving enthusiasts alike.
With intoxicating performance, deft handling, and one of Maranello’s most sensational exhaust notes, it is bound to delight its next owner, whether they choose to enjoy it on the street or the circuit.
Among the very last examples of the Challenge Stradale built; this car was delivered new to Japan, and was imported to and re-registered in the UK in 2015.
Under the engine lid is a 3.6-litre ‘Tipo F131’ naturally aspirated V8, which produces 420bhp at 8,500rpm, coupled to a six-speed ‘F1’ automated transmission with paddle shift.
The single-clutch transmission delivers the gears like a sledgehammer and the V8 engine loves nothing more than to be revved hard. The Challenge Stradale is a seriously fun and special car to drive!

    Even my Modena has the same issue. I believe this happens due to lack of use. I am planning to get it changed and enjoy my lovely Modena more!

    I was lucky enough to be able to film one, see one at a car show, and after seeing it in this video I dream of one now 😍😍 ironically it was at a car show hosted by this channel in Canada 🇨🇦

    Such a beautifull car!!! Great spec! Is it for sale? I once had a Blue Pozzi 360 Modena Manuale with the CS exhaust… still miss that thing. Was such a Great Drivers car.

    agree. limeys need to stop money grubbing and sell it to someone who wants it like sam btw Ive driven one it failed my nvh mainly bevause it was slow as boris johnson

    I have such a soft spot for this car because I've actually driven the standard (if you can call it standard) Modena round a track. The soundtrack is spectacular and being able to see the rocker covers jump when you change gear in the rear view mirror is addictive!

    It's not the rocker covers that jump, it's the engine that dances on its mounts, by design. Which is not unique or special to the 360. You can see it in any mid-engined car with a rear view full of engine compartment (eg Lotus Exige and Alfa Romeo 4C).

    @@nessuno5403 well it's pretty obvious that it's not just the rocker covers that are jumping..... But all you can see of the engine in the rearview mirror are the rocker covers 🤦

    @@nessuno5403 Yeah but the speed of the gear changes in the 360 CS nothing like instantaneous shifts in Schumacher's F1 car. A lot Ferrari drivers would have preferred a 360CS with a manual box.

    There's a video here on KZread of an American Challenge Stradale which is converted to a manual. If you ask me, a manual Challenge Stradale is just the absolutely perfectl weekend toy.

    I have one. In yellow. A special car, no doubt, but a garage queen as you’re always thinking about the mileage when you take the Stradale out. I had a 360 Modena Manual with the Stradale exhaust before, and to be fair, I wish I had kept it as it’s much more usable on a daily basis. Then again, because I drive the Stradale so little, it’s definitely a special experience when I finally do.

    Don't stop the car in 1st gear otherwise you will have some problems getting started again..... never experienced that in nearly ten years of ownership....
