Very good video. Thank you. I think you might have a little misunderstanding. It's a crush washer that will be crushed during installation. The oil film is put on the filter gasket to allowing it to slide on the mounting surface while tightening the filter. Some prople also fill the filter with oil prior to installation so engine doesn't run without lubricant for the time it takes the pump to fill the filter.

Holy crap. I thought this was gonna be hard. Thanks alot. I feel stupid for ever paying for an oil change. Should have just looked it up years ago. I just got this endeavor. But i am an idiot and assumed oil changes consist of taking apart a bunch of stuff just to get to the oil filter. Thanks again

I'm tired of getting someone else to change my oil. Especially being a woman people will raise the price. 🤞🏽Gonna try this and update later. Hopefully everything goes well.

I changed my own oil from 16 to 26. After 6 hour wait times at my local oil changing business, I will start getting dirty again.
