Just did this, 2005 Kia Optima 2.7 V6. I almost started after watching another video where they take the manifold conpletly out. Then I watched yours. Thank you.......Easy and to the point... Note: Make sure you have several of the short extensions and a good spark plug socket with the rubber thing inside to hold the plug. Also I disconnect the 3 electric plucgs on the right side (30 seconds job) this way you can lift the thing easier on the right side.

Thanks for the video! I've gotta change the plugs on a 2001 Kia Optima. One suggestion. When mentioning taking off each type of bolt, mention what size it is. :-)

Awesome video right to the point showing the meaningful tips. I assume you replace that gasket after removing the intake manifold? Thanks for the vid

Any advice on how to disconnect & keep track of the hoses, linkages, etc, for easier reassembly? Any advice on the manifold gasket, seal, etc? I feel like those topics are far trickier than counting bolts...

I recommend painters tape or masking tape with a sharpie, that's the way I did it "old school". In this modern era, you may find it easier to just take pics with your phone as you go to help you keep track.

Didnt understand the need to count bolts/nuts. Point out where they go.. how about they go where the holes are.

We took the bolts off but it won't come up. Do we need the cord o pull it up?

I'm doing mine too! Do you have to replace the intake gasket once you have the intake off? Thanks in advance. Good vid by the way..

Always replace those paper gaskets. Rubber ones you should too, but a little oil/gasket maker can possibly prevent leaks if your super on a budget. Those paper gaskets are a few dollars.
