Retired mechanic in FloriDUH ..had some problems with the fans years ago on my 03 Element EX (mine since new) .. Bought a Heavy Duty Relay and wired both fans to it to come on whenever the motor is running ..also added a big fan in front of the Condenser ...cheap insurance ....

They call me Sherlock Holmes🤪
I had a 07 CRV come in for "leaking oil" Well the oil leak didnt happen at first. I couldnt exactly nail it down. Temperature never reported hot. I tried to put coolant in it and it ran out of the plastic thermostat housing. when I tried to pull it out I thought it misfired a bit. So I put a new thermostat and housing in it and filled up the coolant with a funnel adapter deal. Soon as I cranked it over it hydrolocked and shot out of the funnel like a geyser.
I had the same issue, bad condenser fan.good work..

Thank you.
2006, mines running hot. Same fan isnt working... I'm in NYC and really can't spend another $$$ on repairs (already in for 3k this year, after thieves butchered my car stealing the cat converter and a battery/alternator). Hope this does the trick

You need the cooling system to be full before you do any testing. What tests have you already performed?

@@RobertDotterer so I bought the car I saw the coolant was a little low drove it home about 70miles then went out of state came back a week when I started it it start rough there was like no coolant in radiator and tank so when I turn on my heat it was Given no heat. Then it show misfire in cyl 1 and 2 n random misfire then later it went to 4 cylinder misfire I have changed all spark plugs and coil pack I saw the oil was dirty so I've change it and notice the vtec solenoid filter was clogged but there is no other code other than misfire and u can hear it I've never driven it since it's just test done at idle but my engine light is no flashing with 4 misfire cylinder do u think it's the coolant or temperature sensor or it could be a o2 sensor but when u start the car the temperature guage stay at the middle soni dont think its overheating

Temperature gauge won't work if there is no coolant in the car or if it is very low. You need to fix the cooling system before you go after a misfire. You either need to pressurize the system and look for an external leak or look in the oil or the cylinders for coolant. You will not have heat if you are low on coolant. Once you fix that I would make sure the valves are adjusted right before throwing more parts at it. If the valves are not adjusted right you can have misfire codes and other drivability issues.

@@RobertDotterer tnks alot I'll do that I'll probably check a vacuum lead, fuel pressure or clog injectors and map sensor with throttle body clean tnks again really appreciate ur help tnks bro

Vacuum leaks will not cause a misfire on the car unless it's only on a specific cylinder.
What was the reason for the long term and short term ? and that clip in the middle of the radiator support was bothering me.

I'll have to look at it again. The fuel trims only show up in generic as positive, in enhanced side it shows near perfect. I don't know if it's a scan tool issue or not. It's weird. Map sensor is perfect, tps is perfect, wideband and rear O2 read perfect. I think it might just be an issue with scan data.

I didn't even notice the clip wasn't clipped in. I am always clipping harnesses in on people's cars. You guys always have a different angle then I do watching. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll fix it next time it comes in.
