2003 Honda CB900F / 919 - same 919cc motor as the CBR900RR ... Mods: Custom blue metallic paint with/ painted emblems and drop shadows, Custom Rizoma mirrors & levers, aftermarket grips, polished pipes, fender eliminator kit, silver powdercoated rims, Carbon Fiber Sato Racing exhaust pipes, Power Commander III, Renthal bars, Sargent seat, LED clear taillight w/ integrated turn signals, LED front turn signals, rear grab handle removed and replaced with caps, probably more stuff I'm forgetting. Coming soon: a nicer tank protector, carbon fiber gas cap protector, reflective rim tape, additional rear LED turn signals, and a brake light modulator/flasher for added safety.
This was just a quick cold start of my bike on a 30 degree day. If you use the choke lever, be sure to push it back in after your bike is running for 15 seconds. Shot with the Canon 5D Mark II and 24-70 f2.8L lens.
Thumbs up for my moccasin slippers LOL

    Miss mine so much... I have a Lexus convertible for a safer "open air" feeling, but it's still not the same! It's more like a land boat. The niner was like owning your own roller-coaster and being in ALMOST full control of it ;)

    It was on the bike when I bought it, but there are some really cheap ones on ebay that even have adjustable swivels... I might even grab one eventually. This might even be on the bike from the factory, I'm not sure if it's a modification of the factory rear fender, or what.

  • @ArenaAccessories

    @ArenaAccessories

    I just ride locally, around town and short trips on highways... my best advice is be real easy on the throttle in first gear. This bike will easily power wheelie, if you're too generous with the throttle. And let that clutch out smoooooth and slow! The bike seems out of control in first gear, the gear is really short. Get it into 2nd/3rd and it seems a lot more manageable. In first, it's super touchy LOL

    :D thanks! I don't think they are selling them new anymore, but there are some floating around ebay and forums. The last set I saw on ebay sold for around $450 USD or so. Brand new these were around $1000, I believe. Glad I didn't have to pay it! Gotta love buying pre-modded bikes

    ArenaCreative.com Wow, that's even more expensive than the Akrapovic... I've only heard that the Sato is really good in terms of quality... So I guess I'll maybe go with the Delkevic cans, they're really really cheap and yet good looking Anyway, really nice mods you got on your 919 :-)

  • @ArenaAccessories

    @ArenaAccessories

    10 жыл бұрын

    Don't know; don't really care either... there are videos on youtube though. Someone did 155mph. The wiki says 142.9 mph. I don't want to be going that fast on a bike anyway. One mistake at those speeds by either you or some other soccor mom, and you're dead meat. 70mph feels way too fast on a nake bike, especially without a windscreen

    ArenaCreative.com I 100% totally agree with you friend. Especially with todays population its crazy. Let me rephrase my question. How does your bike do against other sports bike like the cbr600 or 1000 like on curvy and straight roads?

  • @ArenaAccessories

    @ArenaAccessories

    Adrian Flores I'm the wrong person to be asking, as I just received my M endorsement and have only been riding for about a month. I'm very inexperienced on a bike this powerful. Prior to this I've ridden scooters. All of the reviews that I read however say that you can very easily hang with the supersport bikes in the twisties or at the track. It's a great all-around doing everything decent type of bike. Nice torque range, more than enough power. With the power commander III and Sato exhaust I estimate the bike has anywhere in the 100-110 hp range (at the rear wheel)... haven't dynoed it so I can't be sure. Check out wrist twisters forum for a lot more info on this naked bike!

    I personally have gone an indicated 145mph on mine, but it wasn't quite maxed out. It will hang with 600's in a straight line up until 80ish when wind resistance comes in. It will keep up in the twisties to 90% of the capability of a real 600 or 1000. It's not quite as agile but it's a tradeoff for a more usable powerband and more comfortable seating position. Naked bikes also look really good to me, personal preference.

  • @ArenaAccessories

    @ArenaAccessories

    It's actually an idle-adjustment. It's not a choke, it's more of a "fast idle" setting.

    To be clear, the CB900F Hornet/919 is built from the 1996~1999 CBR919RR (SC33) Fireblade parts bin. Same 919cc displacement, same frame. They replaced the carburetors with fuel injection, stripped off all the fairings, and re-cammed the engine to favor low to mid-range torque and drastically lowered the RPM redline (only 9.5K, 1K more than my 17' CB1100EX, and 2K less than an air cooled 84' CB700SC Nighthawk). It makes the bike way more usable for everyday use on the street, while the SC33 Fireblade is far more of a track-day special. You can lug a 919 around at 2K RPM just fine, something you really can't do witb 90's carburetored liter bikes.
