Just a quick video showing how I replaced the Front Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly & the front brake pads & Rotors on a 2002 Dodge Dakota SXT Rear Wheel Drive Truck. This is the non 4 wheel abs version. This would be the same for many other years and the same as the Dodge Durango as well.
The little Brake Pad clips or metal hardware springs that came with the brake pads just didn't fit in which is why I left them off. The old pads didn't have them either.
Tools needed:
Small Pry Bar or C-clamp or other Caliper Compression Tool
7mm allen (hex) socket or allen wrench
35mm impact socket and large breaker bar or impact wrench
Torque Wrenches
The torque spec that I found online for the slide pins seemed to range from 18 all the way up to 26, but most people recommended 22 ft. lbs, so that's what I went with on this truck.
The torque spec that I found online for the Axle nut is 185 ft. lbs.
It's important to not re-use the old axle nut.
Thanks for watching!

Tip: Don't be like me, use a torque wrench. Without a torque wrench, I over tightened a right front wheel bearing on a mid-70's Chevy Monza once. When I test drove, the race almost welded itself to the spindle. Had to do the job over, wasted some $ and a Saturday.

I have the 4wd version on this truck. Can bearing be inspected or replaced without replacing the entire hub assembly? Money is big issue. Breaks are fine apparently (according to my help) so noise is probably bearing but we haven’t looked that close yet and having new tires put on today maybe that will help with the noise (I don’t hear what he hears fyi) can that nut be removed to access bearing without removing the whole hub?

There was literally no reason at all to install the wheel on the truck and lower it to torque the spindle nut. Actually it is best if you don't so that way you get a true torque on the nut.
