2002 Celica GT parts swapping updates

I picked another Celica GT with an automatic transmission for fairly cheap. Well, I thought I got a good deal on it until I started to thoroughly go thru every inch of the car. I realized how much work I needed to do it before I would be satisfied with the overall condition of the car. Boy, there were rust everywhere. I have replaced so many parts in the car already. Luckily I guess that I got all the parts from my wrecked car. Imagined if I have to buy the parts, it would cost 3-4 times the price of the car I've gotten it for. I can almost I have touched every parts of the car. I spent most of my weekends working on this car. I am kind of glad that I am able to drive this car to and back from work with no issues. Most of the stuff I need to do now are pretty cosmetic work. I could almost imagine what the car will look like very shortly. I can't wait till it is almost done. I am a little tired from working on it. Well, here is what I got so far. watch the video

Great progress on it! I'd say you are doing a really good job. Can you work on my son's 01 GT-S when you are done? 😂

Lol... i know a lot about GT model. I don't know too much about GTS 2zz motor. I know how to disassemble the entire car and put back together.

@@tonedubb4325 not a lot of difference, but 45hp or so! Lol! We've done the complete front suspension, brakes front and rear, and I still have to do the rear suspension. Bad thing is, it has rusty rockers and some rust on the drivers side rear wheel opening. Hopefully we can get it cut out, treated, and some metal repairs done, then fix the peeling clear coat. I didn't see the rust before I bought it from another KZreadr. But it is a fun car to drive. Just need to find some body kit pieces for it now. Keep on working on yours!

@trbstang you see the video that i made replacing the front and rear struts with a homemade strut/spring removal tool? Yes. It's a fun, reliable car to drive.
