For a long time, I've felt like the best content is made by narrating over a time lapse. Now this won't work for ALL your videos. I found your channel interesting because you were good at solving pesky problems that others couldn't solve... saving us some money by explaining what is "good enough" and what really isn't and why. So I hope you do narrate some more videos... but don't lose that style... the stuff you've done for so long that really made your videos stand out. Thanks Mr. Car Guy... I'm glad you are getting back into the swing of things.

Been watching and enjoying your channel since day 1 Eric! It's good to see you taking time now to simply enjoy life, and most of all, share the knowledge of Honda Performance with your son! My first experience with Honda dates back to 1973, when the Honda Elsinore 250 was introduced, I was racing motocross at the time, and WOW!....Did Honda open the eyes of everyone involved with all motorsports, not just motocross! Soon after, my girlfriend at the time, purchased a Used Honda CVCC, and not too long after, Oscar Jackson developed his now infamous Jackson Racing Supercharger. At the time, I was now out of MX, and heavily involved with the Performance VW Scene, and drag racing bugs. By the mid 80,s, Street Racing was happening all over SoCal, and the Tuner Craze was starting to really catch on. Before long Hondas were killin' everything in sight, and this led to the Craze that truly lasted for the next twenty five years or so. Since about 2005 or so, Honda seemed to have, not so much lost their way with performance oriented vehicles, but rather, tried to distance themselves from the Criminal Street Racing Tuner Crowd, that the Fast and Furious movies had made Honda owners, look like in the eye's of the public. It was a true awakening to the automotive world, and probably scared the sheet out of Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and all of the other high priced SuperCar manufacturers of the day, to see what a Japanese company could bring to the table, for such an incredible price! Sadly, those days are gone forever, but by passing along our knowledge to the next generation, the memories of those days can live on forever! Thank You for being one of a small group, who is passing their wealth of knowledge, unto the next generation of Car Guys Eric!!👍🏁

Man, I love what you’re doing to these integras because they deserve it. I know this is going to sound cliche but they really don’t make them like this anymore. Love the new format too, glad you’re back with new content. I know you miss the shop with the lifts though especially on work like this.

The problem with working on older cars is you notice issues that need to be fixed in the process of doing the original fix. FYI i am working on the ground all the time and i use what is called reflectix to keep my body comfortable, it helps my old bones and might help yours. From an older now shade tree mechanic . Your valve cover mod is looking sharp!

Just got the 302 for my V-8 Ranger project home today. As soon as it's on the stand (tomorrow morning), I'll start cleaning it up and taking it apart to find out what I actually have. It came out of a 30 year old F-150 so, who knows what it really is? Even at 54 years old, I still love my projects and can't wait to really get into this one! The yard I got the engine from also has a bunch of 4x4 Rangers so, I'll be headed back there soon for an 8.8" rearend to replace the 7.5" under it now (original engine was a 2.3L).

Great to see you back Eric. It reminds me of your earlier videos before you had your Bendpack 2-post lift when (like the rest of us) we have to jack up our vehicles, put down some cardboard and do everything from floor level! I am a few years your senior and I can also relate that after working on the car for a few days a nice long rest is much needed! My birthday was coming up a number of years ago when my wife wrote to you to see about visiting your shop in Cincinnati. However, you were not taking any more visitors. So instead, you kindly sent me an Eric the Car Guy T-shirt with the Fairmont project logo as a birthday present! I still wear it proudly every summer. Please keep up the great work as it's good to see you back at it again!

5:58 I do that to 19+ inch Rims when I put them on, when jacking the car on the floor. I find it to makes threading Toyota lug nuts easier on 4runners/Highlander/Tacoma/Tundras with larger tires.

I’ve done most of the same work on my GSR, at the same time, and ended up just pulling the whole drivetrain out. You’re already removing both main engine mounts, have the exhaust, shift linkage and radiator out. Might as well just unplug a few more things and pull the engine. I did timing belt, clutch flywheel and crank seals, and oil pan seal all at the same time. So much easier with the engine out. Also I’ve had problems with both OEM and FelPro PermaDry oil pan seals. I plan on trying a MyHondaHabit oil pan seal next time.

I can imagine getting the trans out of an Integra is even more of a pain in the neck-or-other-anatomical-location than it is on an Accord. Most important thing I did (other than buying that Milwaukee impact :D ) was to make a drawing of the gearbox on a cardboard sheet, and poking each fastener thru the cardboard at the right location on the drawing. Then when I got the old trans all the way out, I put every fastener in the right hole. When the new transmission went in, I knew exactly where every fastener was and where it went. :D

Had a Tanabe Racing Medallion on my first car which was a 1991 Integra LS. Currently have a Skunk2 on my 2015 Civic SI. Both are incredible sounding exhausts. Never had to do any welding. But I did have to cut off some head shield tabs because the Skunk2 has some pretty big piping and it would just rattle off those tabs. I should mention there's no heat shields where these tabs are, so they may not actually be called that.
