you guys couldnt make the wires ready to use? why make us go through cutting and soldering wires...

I bought an e46 m3 where previous owner installed one of these fans. The issue im having is on hot summer days, the fan continues to run after the car is shut off. Sometimes for hours until the battery is depleted. I checked all the wiring just now and it seems to be wired correctly

The kit should be run off a switched 12v source, meaning it should turn off when the key is removed. Sounds like yours is wired to a constant 12v.

the steps on the wiring installation is quite rushed... everything else shows you where it is exactly then the wiring portion I was like "wait what? where? where is that??? LOL And what happens to the wires that was on the shroud if you don't install the shroud?

you actually dont have to cut out one of the nipple, there is one block off oval cutout that has the same access to the glove box

Maybe this is just happening to me, but your link to the Fan Shroud Kit features and benefits takes me to the radiator features and benefits video. Just thought I'd let you guys know. I'm looking forward to getting a Mishimoto fan kit!

What is the weight difference between the electric vs stock fan?

I´m surprised about the right (driver side) fan shroud removal. I always thought that if you disconnect the coupler it would be a mess of cooling water flowing around, but it´s like there´s no cooling water into it? I always let the shroud apart and i hate it when i´m working around the area and it´s hanging on the coupler...

Can pusher fan may be deleted after this upgrade?

We do not suggest removing the OEM pusher fan.

I’ve had this fan for over a year now, but the directions in this video aren’t clear and the camera had too many close-ups, not showing which wires they’re talking about. There’s many red wires, but which is which? This video brought my confidence down a bit, but I’ll give it a go since I’m garaging my M3 for the rest of the year.

Where are you supposed to connect the wires if you didn’t opt for the controller

Some customer wiring will be required if you did not pick up a fan controller of some kind.

The red wire (fused one) is way too short to reach the fan on my harness. I had to cut the zip ties holding the fan wires to the fan and route them to the other side. I barely had enough to connect after that. This video moves way too fast during the wiring portion. You need to re shoot this or make a more detailed wiring video. The two red wire should also be distinguished apart better. Hence a black line on the fused wire. The plastic connector used on the relay is absolute garbage. I spent a good 25 mins trying to "plug" it in. All of the connectors moved and jammed. You demonstrated this on a car that had the abs in the drug bin. Not all E46 M3's have that or the bar you mounted the relay to.

Hey eildo. My according to our packing list for this fan shroud, these bolts should have an m4 x 0.7 thread pitch. Hope this helps :).

Is the fan tool necessary? How can you do it without that?

BalanceOvOpposites Unfortunately, there is not a way around using the fan removal tool, though Mishimoto includes this tool with the purchase!- Patrick M.

Just did this.. You also have to take the front under floor panel off to access the lower fan shroud torx's. Plus I managed to get the fan out without removing the upper hose!

Is the same procedure for bmw e46 non-m3?!.
