2000s Streetwear Fashion Starter Kit (Girbuad, Ed Hardy, LRG, AF1s)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Since I started this new series on the channel of "starter kit" videos I thought I'd switch it up on the third episode and chat about the streetwear starter kit of the early and mid 2000s. This was definitely a different time period where the term "streetwear" didn't really exist and was really defined more as "urban wear". Some of the brands that I chat about this video are (Girbuad, Ed Hardy, LRG, Red Monkey, Evisu, AF1s, etc etc)
For some this topic can be a blast from the past and for others this can be new information. But wherever you stand, share your thoughts below and let me know if there are any brands I forgot to mention!

Would be jokes to see one on the late 2000s / Early 2010s (Tisa, Obey, Skinny Jeans, Vlado, G-Shock, Supra, Studded belts, shutter shades etc.)

@Egaal O yeah, the skinny jeans was early 2010s. It was more big pants. I always was rocking baggy pants, like big and dripped over my hi top shoes (I never really like those DC big wide shoes). And my og shirt, truly a different era
I remember tribal patterns being pretty big in the 2000s for tattoos and clothes. When I was little about 7 or 8 I had this blue tribal pattern button down shirt. I would wear it everyday pretty much at school
I definitely grew up in this era these were teenage years
I absolutely love seeing this look. It shows how much the aesthetic is still 🔥 til this day. A lot folk on ig mix and match the modern day trends w/ this look almost everyday.
wasnt really a part of this era but was at the same time. born 2001 so yeah
lmaoo i remember these, my mom hated me wearing most of these 🤣🤣

Cool to see this style coming back my favorite era of dress.
Definitely gonna incorporate some of this stuff in my drip. Reliving what I saw older kids doing as a kid.

brings me back to the Dipset, State Property, G Unit, D Block type era days
Bruh this took me back to my high school days everything you talked about on this video I did besides wear the fake jewelry lol 💯💯💯
My HS days back in 2000 - 2004 was airbrush tees, Scarface, Biggie, Tupac printed tees, and airbrush AF 1s. Also, I think it was around 2002 or 2003 the Nike visor hats were popular too because Eminem made that backward visor hat style.
High school 2003 was exactly like this. I usually rocked baggy jeans with a black tall tee and a white one underneath, fitted orioles cap sometimes in between fresh fade haircuts. Diamond stud in the ear with an Italian made sterling silver chain and a fresh pair of white Air Force 1’s. Plus add in the black n grey samsung flip phone.
I was definitely in this era, My girlfriend and I were teens in this era. We know this starter kit. She had a pink RZR phone, I had the Jacob watch, all that stuff we had it. Nice vid
Dis my era and I second everything you said!!! I had every color bo's with the flip tall T durag and fitted thuggin it and lovein it posted on the blocc!! 😂😂😂😂 Time machine me mane!!! Dem where different times you had to be hands on if you kno what i mean!! Authenticity wus everything facts!!! Real times!!! Amazing days!!
This video us definitely on point. I'm 34 and I'm sitting here showing my 14 and 12 year old this lol. They looking crazy but hey this Era was everything to us!!! Great video! New sub here❤
im from the bay too. orig, from the San Jose area and moved to sf state for college. damn, this video is like a trip down memory lane. you were spot on about everything. damn near brought a tear to my eye thinking about that time and how great it was but we never appreciated it cuz we were young and thought it would go on forever. life has kinda sucked since 2010, lol
Im happy to see early 2000 fashion working it’s way back into today’s fashion

Hmm yeah but people’s in the streetwear wear a lot of Japanese stuffs like undercover , and number nine 9 also rick, loewe, kapital , vintage 90s denim and a few off white ,in the streetwear so the style of today has nothing related to the 2000s style now we are most focused on tech wear, minimalist, avant gardist style
I loved the style back then. Few years back...I still had some fits from back then. I put them on and went around like I was the shit. I feel like people were looking at me like "this dude is a real one". ahaha...at least that's what I felt. Baggy was a staple look in hiphop for over 20years...it was iconic. Clothes were big, bright, and comfortable. You'll never catch me in some skinny jeans. I still rock some baggy sweat pants with Timbs on my way to the gym.
Yooooo this fasho took me back. Put me in my feels man hahaha
In NJ on the east coast back in the 2000s they would wear Pelles pelles in the winter and overlarged jeans and white tee in the summer💯
I like 2000s fashion some of which I got from cartoons like Ed edd n eddy, Jake the American dragon, & the boondocks

I was born in 2003 but I remember seeing a lot of this stuff as a child

I miss the real urban hip-hop early 2000's Baggy clothing trend. I wish, I can go back in time when I was a teenager in the early 2000's wearing really Baggy pants and long T-shirts with Nike Air force one's High Top and New era Yankee fitted hats. Back then I was just a kid I didn't have a lot of fancy clothes like the majority of kids my age I wore the same 2 pairs of pants a few different blank T-shirts with a long sleeve shirt underneath the early 2000's was a unique era it was the time to be a teenager we had Gothic, Punk rocks, Emos, Skaters, and urban streetwear hip-hop being the most popular trend. Sometimes I like to reminisce about the good old days in 98 & 99 I was wearing long T-shirts and in 2002 I started wearing Baggy jeans. The way I dress today, I'm stuck in the early 2000's I still have all my vintage Baggy jeans and long Baggy shorts I wore when I was in High School and after I left High School. I would never wear tight pants and small T-shirts, I also would never go back to wearing 5XL T-shirts. Now I wear size Large T-shirts with Baggy pants and 2XL pullover hoodies. I don't rock snapbacks, I only wear New era fitted hats and Nike Air Force One's
Another thing I remember was Bart Simpson graphic tees while the trend wasn't unique to the 2000s and if I'm not mistaken it goes as far back as when merchandise was made for the Simpsons. It still went on pretty strong for the 2000s. I had two graphic Bart tees. One said player. The other tee that I had that I adored was one that said I have issues

This was my era i loved the clothes
I was born in 07 and my dad would always dress like this and I always admired it he use to have me dressed the same as a mini he ain’t around no more tryna continue the look it’s always been my fav style
Some of that was stuff that carried over from the 1990's. But yeah most of this reminds me of the 2000's.
Should’ve included fubu and Sean John lol
Girbaud would fit just RIGHT!! Ed Hardy T-shirts, hats, and bags were so cute.
phat farm . Akademiks . Fubu . Rocca wear . Champion . Lrg . Royal wear . Bull roth . Ecko and more and more
Old is gold, the era started from 2000 hip hop fashion the clothes are very extraordinary in my opinion very fitting with hip hop the streetwear fashion style should be maintained like that, you know hip hop culture is real. I currently still collect quite a lot of hip hop clothing brands such as FUBU, Rocawear, Karl Kani, Phat farm, SOHK, Southpole, LOT29, Akademiks, GFL. And this is really very extraordinary, starting from the style and design is very cool. 😍
I love that time bruh
Rockawear, Sean Jean, Johnny Blaze, Enyce, Phat farm, pro clubs, the list goes on.
deem its like all my fave things - Girbaud, Ed Hardy and LRG??? oooof. throw in some Baby Phat and Vanilla sugar body spray... call it a dayyyy
I wish i could of grown up in those times, everythingthing sounds like it ran more smother than these highschool years im in.I got love for the early 2000s fashion.
I rlly love this style bruh
I Love this video I want more videos like these❤

this my era💯 and I ain’t changin’
just might have to make a early 2000s outfit for Halloween or just to do it 😂
U Never Miss
I try my best to get that style back on the streets here. I even wear fitted hats from the late 90s and early 00s
This is more of a hiphop wear review. The cargopants was - in general and globally - really a staple. Wich we miss in this vid. Furthermore, boxy shirts, or *boxier* at least already popped up from the acid house era ('88) maybe even earlier in the 80s.
The pin wheel hat definitely had to match my screen printed scarface shirt
Pro Club tall tees all day!
We was tryna do this shit in Montana but didn’t know what we were doing😂😂 I remember my go to baggy jeans were Carhartt denim💀💀
Definitely still am. And i don't plan on stopping. Probably ever. Its just what I'm comfortable in. Maybe not everything to the extreme. But Im keep wearing loose fitting clothes with at least a tall tee that goes past my pockets. Im not going full night gown anymore, but i can't do the tight clothes period. Ill stay in the 2000s.
im 43 and i still listen to late 90s Hip Hop i still wear my Red Leather Avirex Jacket baggy jeans DuRag and sandy Timb Boots' nobody dress like this way when im out peeps be lookin at me like im from a different planet like they never seen this style before shit love that 90s hip hop wear all day.
