I live 15 mins away and saw this stang live in person at Budd's Creek, MD International race way. The turbo sounded like a damn jet about to take off, this video does no justice. The wheelies were awesome to watch and I could only imagine what it was like to actually be inside. Makes my GT feel like a V6.

The wheelies that gt500 pulls makes me want to cry

When I was a little kid my dream was a Lamborghini or Ferrari but since the I saw the gt500 for the first time it came to be my new dream car. This is more than a car, it's a beast...

Somebody please buy this man a wheelie bar. xD With 2,000 horses, I doubt the weight would affect the car's performance much, unless he enjoys paying for cosmetic upkeep. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Wheelie bars aren't allowed in this class..it called drag radial and its been around for more than a decade now...fastest drag radial car is roger holder on the west coast..6.16 this year at scan las Vegas with a twin turbo big block camaro on a 315 dot radial and no bars...you do not need them, he needs a better chassis man..with 2k he should run high 6's in the 1/4, depending in how much that car weighs now...

Crowd favorite I'm sure, but wheeles dont win races. Looks more like the loose nut behind the wheel is the error there. Tighten up the rear suspension, loosen the front, DONT run radials on that track. Beautiful car. Nothing beats a Turbo but its own driver :) Good luck in future races, hope to see you here :)

Should run slicks on that track, wouldnt need bars. Would deffo not scrape the bumper and shoot holster on the track with slicks. They launch your ass instead of wheely. Although, a good wheely is damn fun to watch. Especially if the dirver does not crash.

jungledave7080 Wait... what??? Going from drag radials to slicks would reduce lift in what world of reverse physics? Slicks would just make the problem worse. The front end lifts because the torque overcomes the weight of the vehicle before it overcomes the traction of the tires, slicks = more traction = more lift.

Even though I own a Charger, I will say it is nothing like the sound of a Mustang acceleration with a fully custom exhaust. If Ford was to ever come out with a 7 second car like this........... OMG! Hellwho?Demwhat? Maybe you have something in your eye....? Mopar fans are going to kill me for this post. My dream car will always be a bright red hachtback Foxbody 5.0. With black or grey interior

It looks like he's using a Sony action cam on that Mustang it's nice to see somebody use a good camera for once.

My 2014 5.0 / Boss 302 Mani with Pro Charger spits 715 HP, no rebuild on pistons, valvs, or basic Engine components yet, but when I m done, with N02 Kit I'll be at 815-817HP Ball Park Range.
