For this run, we used a Traxxas X-Maxx with Traxxas Stability Management and included optional high-speed gearing with Traxxas Power Cell 4s LiPo batteries. We installed Traxxas paddle tires (part #7773) to propel the X-Maxx across the water. We also secured pre-cut foam noodle sections to the X-Maxx for flotation - just in case. Warning! Risk of drowning. Do not attempt. For the safety of the user, others, personal property, and the product, please do not imitate the maneuvers performed in this video. The stunts shown are performed by professional drivers in a controlled environment with modified vehicles.

Traxxas seriously please consider my offer to come to LV NV to make a Midnight Water Crossing from NV to AZ on the Colorado River with Lights and then we all can race on water, we can do some night drags across a small Sandy cove. The record is broken. One person did 1.53 Km and is approved by the Guinness Book of World Records. The fun is, that the person used an X maxx only. Well done Traxxas, on making such a capable machine.

@@brycesstuff no that's the best way to do it. Lipo and electric motor is in super light and compact. Combustion engine would be to big for the RC and not generate enough RPM to stay afloat.

Sheeeyit ...back in 92' I planed a 69' Olds Cutlass for about 100 yards on I-10 going east during thunderstorm. Went across all 3 lanes did 2 360s, slammed into retaining wall, flipped over ditch and frontage road and landed almost perfectly in parking space in WalMart parking lot. I walked away. (true story)... ...I win 🇺🇸👍

I did this with an actual car! I was so high I ended up in Lake Michigan! When I realized I was In water, my heart dropped, I let go of the accelerator, but quickly applied the accelerator very gently. This phenomenon of a move, allowed for the tires to capture water for the tires to cycle upon, which kept the car afloat! And the I woke up!

I wanted to sub but I was already subscribed this is legit

I designed a boat to work like this 20 yrs ago, never found the time to pursue it. Take a planing hull, slice it down the length vertically, swap the left to the right & vice versa. Now run a wide motorized track around the centre. Theory: the typical pointed planing hull forces the bow wave outwards away from the boat. The inverted hull forces the bow wave inwards, the track then continually climbs up it. Above planing speeds it will just run over the water. 😉

This is my Favorite RC Car video, I have watched several times, and still the music along with the amazing machine, against great odds, keeps running over the water, what an awesome task the driver accomplished. From the first time I watched this video, it brought up the inner feeling of how we humans must run this gift of life granted by God, yes against All Odds, thru God, we can win the race. So may you watch this video, and have in your mind the thought of the race you're going through and yes, you can Win like this little RC car done, 2199 feet, totally amazing! Run my friends and Cross your finish line to victory!

Out of curiosity, why couldn't it continue across, the battery surely didn't drain after only that far even on full throttle did it? Another person commented "could you design larger floating tires that would allow it to float always", is this a possibility or am I missing some sort of aspects of physics that would prevent this from ever being possible?
