Just had a break in attempt on my V Star 250 and need to replace the ignition cyclinder. OEM assembly costs like $150 USD. I'm buying the set off Amazon and replacing the fuel cap, helmet lock, and just the cyclinder and keeping the base plate and wiring like you did. Thanks for saving me over a hundred bucks ( more really hecause I was going to get a new fuel cap just to keep the 1 key for everything).

Bought a 1992 Virago 250 two days ago. Learning a lot from your video's. I'm gonna learn to do maintenance on it since I'm fairly new to doing it myself.

Did the 2,000 have a reserve tank? I just found one on my '88 under the battery! I thought it was in the petcock, but PO put an aftermarket one and the res setting still doesn't work. Not sure how to activate the reserve tank? I'm pulling it out!
