    Never knew these engines could brake. Except the timing chain stretch (bad oil maintenance) never saw one died. 600.000 KM's and still running.

    I have a N16 with a QG13DE here in the Philippines and already had 600,000km and its great! It's never been overheated once.. the only issue I have now is the valves tickin' maybe because of age..

    Very good, well done. Only thing I think I would have done was to lubricate the cam bearings before putting the caps back on them. Could you use diesel to flush the engine instead of oil, without the plugs in and crank engine with the starter then thoroughly drain and put new oil in then?

    also how did you turn the engine over? were you just rotating the Crankshaft? and is it suppose to be TDC?

    Is it necessary to turn the camshaft 4 times before instal of timing chain ? What if the cam is installed exactly the same way it came out ?😊

    Next time please apply the Shellac sealant on the head gasket, both sides, not on the block.

    Manual says: 9 3 1 6 8 7 5 2 4 10 bolts on timing cover 11, 12,13, 14 Stage a: 1-10 = 29 Nm Stage b: 1-10 = 59 Nm Stage c: Slacken off Stage d: 1-10 = 29 Nm Stage e: 1-10 = 50-55 degrees Stage f: bolts on timing cover 11-14 = 6,8 - 8.0 Nm

    Do you have to have the camshaft lobes pointing up or in any specific direction after you install the sprockets? Just wondering if they are suppose to be pointing "up" or if it matters. the camshaft lobes.

    Cam lobs point up means no1 cylinder compression/both valves closed. No I piston TDC

    What about crank bush ????? It will not work long because when changed the ring and piston we need work behind force come from crank ….. now compressor will be high and crank with old bush .

    I drive a Nissan Almera Classic with the QG16DE engine that looks similar to the QG18DE, I forgot to close the radiator cap which led to alot of coolant loss which caused overheating and that led to a blown head gasket, I am gonna replace the head gasket tomorrow and I just wanna know if I can still drive it as hard as I used to before? The car was driven for 78k miles, will the car be the same as before blowing the original head gasket ? Will I be able to push the car to its limits after the head gasket replacement just like I used to before or not?

    @linetakinyi7229 don't worry, I replaced the head gasket and it is running as good as it used to before, nothing serious bro it is just a head gasket.

    No it won't because the timing over have an lip preventing the chain from dropping

    @@shivabhagwandeen4643 I washed 2 other videos they both said you have to hold the chain in place otherwise you'll loose the timing and they were wrong, until I watched your video, I when and did this job by my self with out any fear of messing up the timing thanks
