    Damn right bud. I've got a 1986 suzuki carry db71t. Love my truck. Going to swap the engine with a goldwing 1500 engine and a suzuki samarai transfer case. More to come...👍😱😈 jealous of the dump feature though.

    These Kei size trucks have been made in several countries. Genuine Kei vehicles are limited to an engine size of 660 cc but Honda have got around this problem with their three cylinder twelve valve turbo engine that has fuel injection. Vauxhall/GM/Bedford used to build Kei size vehicles with non-Kei size engines. These were actually Suzukis! The Suzuki Carry with its one litre engine was OK but what was highly regarded was the Suzuki Super Carry which had 1300 cc, fuel injection and a turbo fitted to an engine that has four valves per cylinder. Daihatsu also had their Hi Jet which was cloned in Italy as the Piaggio Porter. Unfortunately finding the specifications and deducing which vehicle gives the most bang for the buck is not easy. Long ago a UK company by the name of Island Plastics on the Isle of Wight, built camper van bodies that fitted the Honda Acty TN550 pick up truck which has 28 horsepower and drum brakes. These days more horsepower and better brakes are needed as the original Acty is IMHO quite unsuitable for going on UK motorways as it won't even be able to keep up with the eighteen wheelers! Over here the motorway speed limit for cars is 70 mph but the police allow 10% plus 2 mph. 70 then becomes 70 + 7 + 2 = 79 mph. Virtually all speedometers are highly optimistic so one can drive at an indicated 80 mph without getting ticketed! The question is "How will the Acty be able to keep up with the traffic?" IMHO motorways are dangerous if one cannot keep up with the rest of the traffic so really the old Acty ought to be banned just like 50 cc motorcycles. Later Romahomes were Peugeot based hence in Europe upgrading the drive train on those is easy as presumably a 2.2 turbo diesel will fit straight in to where the 1.6 non-turbo sits..

    I bought one 10 years ago, 3500 BUCKS, redone as new and drove it 6 years. at the end i rebuilt the motor for 400 bucks lol in philippines. 4wd was awesome and really worked. bed with seats down was six feet and i put foam 6 inches deep and could carry lots of people down the the saND. i SOLD IT FOR 2000. JUST the van will lean back the seats for long drives. the van topped out at about 60 mph but in south pacific are fixed anywhere in sm,allest of villages. Just a great first vehicle in philippines and had a very low range on the transfer case for rock crawling. a/c was only good for 2 in front lol.

    Mike Mortenson well thank you for your comment he up I like my little truck pretty good here heck I pull 3000 pounds on the hitch but then again my dad and I built the hitch and designed it of our own unique customization I also have a 4500 lb UTV winch bought at TSC and it works perfect although I've had to cut a few feet of cable out of it LOL from years of extreme views when paired with my John Deere 4105 that truck is truly amazing I will be doing videos here soon of the truck and tractor working together to clean a drainage ditch out thanks again

  • @mountainMAN3225

    @mountainMAN3225

    5 жыл бұрын

    All four are 23 x 8 x 12 oh and on an added note you'll probably have to take a grinder did the fender Wells for the front so the tires will have adequate clearance for turning if you're dealing with a 95 Carrie I don't know about the other brands but when in doubt call g&r those folks can help you for sure hope this helps

    Ey man awesome wheels you got there Can you tell me where i can get the same exact tires and wheels?

  • @mountainMAN3225

    @mountainMAN3225

    6 жыл бұрын

    michael dev well I didn't exactly by the wheels that come on the truck but I can tell you Google ITP ss212 Wheels and Carlisle all trail tires and that's how you'll get that set but unless you're working in a golf course I strongly suggest against the all Trail it is the most awful Tire I have ever used I now use the Maxxis Cero's which is a whole lot better it Bridges the gap between yard work and Trail work but it all depends on what you're trying to do with the truck hope this helps oh yeah and check your bolt pattern I believe mine is like a 4 x 110 bolt pattern if memory serves correct but once you get your bolt pattern matched up you'll be good to go

    thought I heard a horse shaking til I saw that big flop eared hound walked into the picture. : ) they wont legalize them(these micro trucks) for on road use here . I ended up buying a 99 4x4 chevy s-10 loaded out from a bank repo lot .because they wanted more for a Suzuki carry than the s-10 4x4. there is a site that has these with left hand drive .but? I think they are a different brand something called a daihatsu hijet.
