The one thing I remember the most about our trip to my wife's province is all the beautiful happy children. For the first day my 13 year old daughter was petrified because she had never been around so many children who were so playful and so kind. On the second day my daughter was having the time of her life with the children and they were inseparable. After 3 weeks, as we prepared to depart, there were tears. We have an abundance of everything material in America, but visiting the Philippines also made me realize what we lack, what money cannot buy.

The floor tiles are like on.our terrace in Camotes Island. We have similar house MJ. In the barangay outside of San Francisco. Upstairs bedroom with aircon n terrace front n side. Down is cr n shower and bathroom, then kitchen n in February this year we add gas 4 burner gas stove with oven n also a washing machine. There is a small sari sari sari store now converted to selling Yasuy body sets n lotions n various other items now selling. Pots and pans n other household items MJ

love the simplicity of the home. only thing i would change would be the roof - no yero - too hot in the philippines with that and the washroom would need to be flashable and a simple shower would be ideal too. hahaha, but that's the city girl side of me, love the blue paint of the house too. i would love to own one of that and enjoy the beautiful view and the peoples' smile everyday, otherwise it's PERFECT !!!! new subscriber from vancouver, canada....can't wait to meet you, once COVID is done or travel is safer, whichever one comes first. keep vlogging...

May we ask whether or not you could vlog her husband building or repairing a structure (yes, even if it means capturing video over several days or weeks to show the stages of progress). Please, please, please Meljean? Also how about the stages of a makeup artist's work (like Tom did the tattoo artist) or a hair salon? Just thinking of other interesting, close-to-home topics to cover.

With all the typhoons, I would be surprised if that house was still standing now.

Was the lack of diagonal bracing in the walls a problem during the typhoon ?

by the cooking fire is the best place for the hen to set on her nest for 21 days and hatch her eggs, for the eggs will stay evenly warm, even when the hen needs to leave the nest. Also, the ashes help to keep the flees and other insects under control. Also keeps the dogs away from her next. This habit of the hen is not unusual to me.
