    Put some big rubber on it, 24.5 tall, better ride, higher top end. Freightliner classic is one of the best riding trucks ever, especially 275" or longer, condos are best, you can do jumping jacks in the sleeper. Any driver that bad mouths them most likely never drove one, very comfy truck. Those early series 60s can't be beat either, very reliable.

    Glad I found this channel! I am beginning to restore my 2003 classic this helps point me in the direction to find parts the interior is in bad shape, I’m thinking about adding a rv sofa bed in the sleeper

    @@Corleone_Napoleone hmmm been rebuilding all the interior since was destroyed.. installed all new dash panel this weekend.. still needs lots of work but I've been driving 3000k miles a week with no real issues

    @@realhustle5939 it all depends man... i got this truck because my dad was friends with the owner and he knew it only had 50k on rebuilt engine. The guy lost his license and it was parked in the desert for 3 years. I paid 17k.. but i spend another 7k to rebuilt all the rear suspension, front end suspension.. new rubber all around.. so i guess if its 100% road ready 20-25k .. it all depends on your budget bro

    Hey love the truck bro, also on those Detroit’s they have 4 valves on the passenger side near the turbo that you can turn to maximize the AC during the summer and more Heat during the winter

    305 wb! thats a loooong girl! I know that feeling of missing being in the seat. Been too long for me but figured I'd get my heavy duty ticket & buy my own rig after. Love the series 60 sound & fuel economy! is yours the 12.7 or 14.0? also 3.55's are tall atleast for most rigs I've run. average ones had 4.10's to 4.33's but pulling heavy loads through the mountains up north

    The frame rails are heat-treated alloy steel. It's little wonder you had trouble drilling through them. Need (at least) a magnetic drill press to do this.

    I use united pacific too bro on my not finished peterbilt built 359 rv hauler I'm still building it I broke my foot so kinda out of commission cause I was gonna hit it hard to finish the truck well most of the way no one's ever finished we always changing stuff you get my drift

    @@notchfox6086 if it's leaking like mine it's worth it but it is a pain in the ass. That cover is also the rear engine mount so you need to support the engine to pull it, I replaced the clutch while the trans was down too.

    @@TruckingPassion yes driver mine its leaking bad ,,🤦🏾‍♂️ i might swap cluth ones im there, just bought the truck this pass year its a 2000 classc model with a 1999 12.7 litter ,10 speed and 3.73 gears seating on 24's with 11R's tires,, got lots of plans for it and projects for it , looking fowar to get it ready for OTR ,,, might upload a video on my channel later !👍

    Nice ride man but thats not a 305 wheelbase more like 270. My 2020 pete is 300 inch, your gap in the truck to the trailer dosent even come close to mine

    Cab size is what determines your space between cab and trailer not just your wheelbase but this truck from the center of the steer axle to the center of the rear axle is 305 inch

    Wheelbase on a tandem axle tractor is measured from the center of the steer to center of the distance between the drives. If it's a factory whlbse, it's most likely 275". I believe the 86" sleeper came with a 283" whlbse.
