@dargon the great yeah well... he's a totally different kind of breeder. He was selling a lot of wc, claiming them to be cb... I know of a lot of people whose animals (not just reptiles) were DOA. Wouldn't give a refund or discount/exchange for another animal. AND when FCW first started cracking down on its reptile regulations, he was one of the first to say he would let all his animals loose... and encouraged others to do so as well! NOT the right kind of person to represent our community 😡

I live in south Florida. FWC has me absolutely sick and gutted, regarding their treatment of responsible reptile keepers. I hate my state and my heart breaks for everyone here that’s losing not only their animals but their life’s work, in many cases. Thank you for giving these Tegu’s a good home. You’ve definitely got a new follower! I’m just so angry😡 Everyone, PLEASE support USARKFL!!🦎❤️🦎

It is not just Florida. We keepers need to act quicker or more people will lose pets or their jobs. The amount of work I had to do to get my lizard to be my emotional support pet just so I could keep him in my appartment with me was nuts. I know good doctors so that helped but not everyone does. It is the bad owners and the people with misunderstanding and phobias that are winning. 😢

This is why it is SO SO important for EVERYONE to strongly and actively support USARK and USARK FL. I've been volunteering every month at my local shows at the USARK table to try and get it through people's head. If we want to stop these bills, we need active members of USARK to be stepping up when these bills pop up. Calling and emailing representatives, sharing USARK alerts and posts, and donating if you are financially able.

I am so thankful Hector's fantastic group found a home with you. It is tragic that Florida made such a short sighted decision. I understand that they are trying to protect the native species and their natural habitat but it is NOT responsible breeders and owners that have caused the problem. This regulatory change is a knee jerk reaction that will have exactly ZERO benefit to the native species/habitat of Florida. Florida Fish and Wildlife is making some foolish decisions.

He lost no Life to Fls reactionary draconian and harming Excuse of Approach. It will get worse. Won't think of how many will get released and mistreated in Future because of this. Good Times for the Blackmarket. Things like licensed Owning, mandatory GPS chipping would do so much more for the Animals also. It would prevent desperate releases, Pet kills and Abuse from illegal trading and keeping. Thanks for stepping in, saving 200 Tegu Souls and giving them a Loving Home.

On one hand I understand Florida F&W and their reasons for banning tegus. On the other hand however, there already a breeding population in the wild, banning pet tegus from responsible keepers will not fix that problem. It is for that reason I overall disagree with the decision. It doesn't solve the problem, just ruin good people's hobbies.

Mandatory Chipping, GPS, Lincesed owning only, would help the Animals too. It would enable People access, so no shady, dumb Stuff would be necessary for the Desperate. I couldn't imagine giving up my goos. I cried for Hector and his family 💔 At least he knows they are going to a good responsible tegu owner. I can't thank you enough for my goos. They bring me joy everyday! I brag about them at work. They are part of my family. They live in my living room and I just drew up plans for a bigger better Living room enclosure. With a Disney theme! I can't wait to see all the new goos and see and hear about them. Are all of them blues? Are there albinos? I would love to have a very dark blue male for LORALIE. just saying 😊 And maybe male and female albinos One for your bunch and one from Hectors?

It looked like there were several albinis, hypos and hybrids/tribrids too. Definitely not all pure blue, though I hope he continues the pure blue line. A few were so blue the camera even picked up on the color! My dream is to own a RCR super blue someday :)

So sad, I’m from Florida and all these laws will keep me far away from moving back lol but I didn’t know you were so close to me. Do you ever do any of the reptile shows in Louisiana?

This is so heartbreaking. So glad you can take them. What’s going to happen if they get the law pass that you can’t transport across state lines💔

They should start to give them good homes outside of Florida and all you need to do is to prove you can keep care of it and that you can pay for shipment from Florida And also remember where the original owner are so then if they move out they can pay you for keeping their tegu

I’m looking for a pair of high white blues. Very sad he had to give up his tegus heart braking. I couldn’t imagine the pain of loading them all up, watching them one by one go away. I’m cutting back on my snakes thought it would be easy but as people look at them, I say oh maybe I’ll keep this one. Maybe I’ll keep that one.
