  I did what you recommended . I keep the substrate dry and under his warm side hide I put reptile moss so he can go in there when ever he needs for humidity He sheds perfectly . Thank you for the idea

  Why do the males have big jowls ?

  In the wild they fight over territory and females. The jowls help protect their neck.
