Just bought a 93 kdx250. In the process of a complete rebuild. Flavor twist is painting the frame ~98 KLX300 purple. Your videos are pure inspiration to get it plated.

Glad you got the bike registered....sometimes you just have to roll the dice....of course here in TN you could almost get a 55gal steel drum with wheels registered, certainly used as a trailer without registration. We have a simple one page application for abandon vehicle registration.....see something you like abandoned... go get it. Lol

On my KLR as soon as I hit a nice jump / pot hole, I lost the license plate. You might want to consider moving it up on the fender. Nice job. Love the channel.

Great job on getting the bike registered. A quick tip for changing bike tyres, get yourself a worn out car tyre from the junkyard ( something like a 205/65-15 is perfect) and use it to rest the bike wheel on when changing tyres. The bike rim is supported on the sidewall of the car tyre so it doesn't try to move around when you're working on it and the hub and brake/ sprocket is lifted off the ground removing any chance of damaging either.

Wow, you guys have it tough in the states, I'm from Australia and all you need to do here to get a bike on the road here is to call up your local dodgy roadworthy fella (hes the guy who gives the bike the okay to be registered) then to head down to your local TMR (what we call the DMV in Australia) and give them the roadworthy form and your good to go, you have to pay a bit extra for a dodgy roadworthy's but its worth it if you have a dodgy bike, total cost $198 AU for 6 months rego. I had a bike with non DOT tyres, a horn that didn't work and temperamental indicators, I got it registered no problem, cops here pull me up and say nothing about my tyres etc. It's pretty chilled here. Thankfully.

I did the same thing to my KTM. If you sneak through the local DMV they’ll catch you in Sacramento. It usually takes about six to nine months

Alec Stentz Always haggle you be supprised how low some people will go, as long as you don't show your interested in the item. I bought a car once fully road legal for £90 because once i saw it i didn't want it.

How in the world did you manage to register an old 2-stroke bike in California??? Not to mention the non-working lights, speedometer and no mirrors!! I live in California and I know CARB (California Air Resources Board) is trying to get rid of all 2-stroke vehicles including weed wackers and blowers. You are very lucky that someone at your local DMV office was slacking off on the job!

i just got into repairing bikes. this show is awesome.

My crf was sold to me with no title. Just a bill of sale. After some research and some loopholes I was able to not only get a title for my crf450 but plate it too. I look forward to build and tagging a cr500 here in the near future.
