Great job bud! A few improvements I think you can make: 1. Make the size a bit smaller if possible 2. Perfectly center the V-mount to the back and use a FX Lion 50 3. Get angled cables and clean it up 4. Use a Tilta Wood Right handle or Arri Rossete Handle to make it nicer. 5. Buy a proper nato rail monitor mount 🙂 6. Add 2 1/4 quarters on the bottom so you can add Rails system. That should be it, I just bought a new EOS M for this so keeping a eye on it to see when you make the print plans available

Sometimes super high-end specs can't beat a tool with a tactile feel and a look that inspires us. I love that you feel this too - it definitely looks great! Maybe you could add huge amount of personalisation to the camera too - custom colours! I love the orange, but I'd probably want the brightest yellow or green you could get lol. Really nice footage, really nice and workable design of the body! Its strange to think that I first found you because of the EOS M and now you've come full circle! Not even a M owner and I love that you've done this! As ever Cole puts the POWER in his KZread videos!

Anyone can buy a Ferrari if they have cash but a person who builds his own super car will know every inch and have a lot more pride in his work.....the eosm is like that for camera nerds. Definitely custom colours are a must but now this V1 is in black I really love it 😁

Subscribed and follow your work for quite some time now. Love what you do and your unbiased feedback on gears and equipment. Putting your vision and passion down on paper and translated to a prototype like this is just fantastic. As for the crowd funding option to make the v2.0 a reality, I'd say, "Shut-up and take my money!" Simply brilliant, mate!

Love it when creatives put their heart out on the craft! It’s a pleasure watching this and I’m excited about the V2. I surely will be doing that on my EOS M when it drops! Here are some points that you might consider for v2. - Nato Rail system for mounting monitor or maybe an outrigger style handle with monitor mount on the rail - The tilta side handle for Komodo seems the most compact design I’ve seen as it sits very close to the body via nato rail - If possible to have some sort of cable management built in the body would be nice but not necessary or some sort of holes for when attaching cable clips or smallrig cable management parts - strong multiple 1/4 screw mount at the bottom so you can attach it to a rail system or atleast make any mount not twist making it more secured - V-mount plate is nice, just need to secure it and make it centered for proper balancing - optional - built it rod hole at the bottom left side of the cage is also possible considering the size of the cage. I can send you a sample on Facebook Anyway, I love the samples on this video. EOS M is really a beast! Love the community! 👊🏼

It does not exist, went on a bunch of forums and can't find nothing on this. The camera looks brand new almost, I'm so confused I watched every magic Lantern install video and nothing on this. You have to be in camera mode and using MANUAL mode to be able to access fw update features.

Hey Valentin, your comment struck a chord with me because it's exactly how I feel. I talk to a lot of people in less developed countries and the eosm has helped them gain a new passion, skills and some have earned enough money to buy other camera's and equipment and shoot full time now. This project will help these guys take it another huge step but also it's great fun for people who just like to tinker regardless of their economic situation. When I first got into camera's everything just seemed so expensive so I hope we can change that.

I really appreciate the eos m or s16 pocket because of their small size, letting us capture amazing footage in situations that we otherwise might not be able to. That being said when you do want to rig them up it is awkward at the best of times. This kind of solution you've presented here is fantastic and I look forward to seeing it develop!

17:17 You're right. The way forward for high end camera's could be like building a PC. Where you customize all you parts (sensor, processor, lens...) according to your needs and budget. If you develop a system where buying and implementing your own parts is reliable and cost efficient, you're going to turn the heads of industry giants for sure.

Great work. Congratulations. If you plan to develop a box for another camera, I recommend choosing the Micro Cinema Camera. This camera looks like it's meant to be integrated into a larger setup, more so than the BMPCC OG. I mean, it's harder to work with it in the form the manufacturers built it, especially in terms of the knob controls and the fact that it doesn't have a monitor.

Thank you brother, I think you're absolutely correct and that should be the third camera for conversion. Its a lot more functional than the OG and we can put a dedicated cheap 3.5 inch screen in the body and make a hdmi out for bigger monitors. Move the buttons to a better position and even use the Ursa controller for side handle control or the third party controller...lots of options with that cam.

Thank you brother. Yes the sigma would be a prime candidate for box build. They can easily be reverted and the extension cables already exist. I may tackle the FP because I think it would actually be the most worthwhile build over the older bmpcc's

@@Altcine it’s absolute beast for the price and maybe better than the hassle you have to go through for BMPCC OG. You get the Slomo 120 and can easily scale and as it’s RAW you won’t notice much difference. Let us know through next videos your thoughts on using Sigma FP for such build.
