Ni bonda ra. The channels in AP have been banging their heads about this issue for the last 5years. BJP Has been trying to get it back on track. But there was a tuglak ruling AP for the last 5 years. It was 70% completed by 2019. Now with 5 years lack of care. It is down to 65 percent completed. Will it not go into peoples brain if it’s not national media saying it?

I'm from Andhra, Telangana...polavaram is big example of Indian political, bureaucratic red tapesim and corruption.

Anyone who thinks about delay in project, please understand basic fact.. that every year only for a period of 6 months, major ground construction activities take place. While the rest of 5-6 months due to the mighty Godavari floods, construction almost comes to halt.

Despite that poor funding, the TDP's last tenure in AP govt between 2014-2019 had borrowed the loans from the external and international sources and various other organisations and completed the 72% of the entire project! did you watched the polvaram status videos in 2018 and the present video, Chandra babu is a waste and nasty fellow who made all the dramas about he is going to finishing t but if you watched old videos even the basement of polavaram not completed .. Jagan has completed both coffer dams, fixed all the gates, connecting bridge, spill way, and tunneling work , all of these finished in a time of mere 2.5 yars as another 2 years wasted because of covid 19

Why did CBN build a ECRF dam without completing upper and lower coffer dams? CBN is the main culprit of this plight. He is the waste person who ate polavaram money as ATM. EcRF dam should be constructed after upper and lower coffer dams, which is a poor engineering of CBN.

Simple it was constructed against the sequence of civil procedures. Cofferdam not complete but diaphram built risked diaphram wall due to floods. Now cofferdams complete flood damaged diaphram need to rebuild followed by ECRF dam. R&R package is huge yet to settle to villages. Power project almost complete

Bjp is the minor culprit here, but the problem is andhraties make bjp as the major culprit. That's the issue.

Just a general observation, projects started under UPA have always been mired with poor planning, execution and management. NH-66 in Maharashtra which is also started under UPA has also been mired with enormous problems. I think it’s because of the way they structured the implementation agencies in their projects. It ends up becoming worse of everything. Just like Pollavaram, NH-66 in Maharashtra is also under implementation by Maharashtra PWD (everyone in Maharashtra knows they are terrible). Centre should find a way out of this conundrum.

If an earthquake came and the dam got destroyed it also because of CBN. First learn what's the problem. Even the YCP said they don't no the date and they can't complete the project. It’s indisputable that CBN with his vision taken over the project from center to state so that state can complete polavram on priority basis.. As also statistics suggest that project around 75% completed by the end of his tenure.. The movement jagan become CM, In spite of center reluctance and disapproval for changing the contractor, jagan changed the contractor unilaterally and now not only the cost of project increased but also project is delayed

Diaphragm wall collapsed due to lack of maintenance during changing the contractor and new contractor didn’t taken adequate precautions.. As i already said, there is no point of changing the contractor when center who is the ultimate authority sanctioning money is satisfied with the contractor and objected changing the contractor

By the end of his tenure it was completed 70 plus % as per govt central govt data and which is publicly available information.. Even YSRCP During initial days of there govt said that they will complete project by the end of 2021.. Replacement for villagers is a different subject, that doesn’t stop the progress of project.. Also power is separate subject.. Now primary focus is on irrigation..

This project was intitated during briitsh ruling india and during kept in attick for a long time. Then former CM later YSR started this project by bringing approvals and clearances from regularotry authorities and completion of construction of left and right canals beofer his untimely death. After his death next CM just ignored this project. After bifurcation central government took over this project as part of AP bifurcation act. Once CBN came to power he took that project from center for commisions. This was even confirmed by Rayapati whom this project was assigned. Moreoever he did not followed CPM by straight away constructing Diaphragm wall without construcing Coffer dams which caused irrepairable damage to the project. As there are no coffer dams, water due to floods caused irrepairable damage to Diaphragm wall which caused dent in progress of this project. Now before PPL there are two options. Either to consruct a paralled diaphragm wall or destroy the old one and construct new one.CBN foolish decision caused huge damage of 2000crores to government exchequor. After CBN, next government done excellent job in completion of coffer dames, all 48 garage gates and brought that into a shape. Now the issue is Diaphragm wall and PPL is not in a position to decide on this. One fools mistake caused huge and irrepairable damage to country's and state's wealth and future

It is a good example of sheer incompetence of present government. Centre never funds it on time and the state should first spend and centre reimburse it whenever it wants. The last state government made it priority and sped it up after initial delays. Now, the centre should pay for R&R package by the end of 2024 and pay advance instead of reimbursement for constructing the same.

It’s CBN vision that project should be completed on priority basis so the only solution would be works are monitored by state and funds are released by center.. Under AP Reorg Act (2014) / Sec 90, its Central Government's responsibility to execute the project and declared it as a national project. The biggest mistake ever made by then AP govt is to take the excution of the project away from central Govt for their own benifits and rest is nothing but corruption...

The deal is to complete the project on priority basis.. No irrigation project which was constructed by center completed in a reasonable time, it takes decades.. So CBN thought it’s better to take the responsibility of construction by state.. Everything was going smooth until jagan become Cm.. Inspite of center reluctance and disapproval contractor has been changed unilaterally by state govt for commissions.. Now not only cost of the project gone up but also project got delayed..

Wrong report, Does not give the actual facts, When was the project approved for 47000 Crores as stated. as a media please give the facts. Real problem is respective state governments, who escalated the costs and also took the project in their hands. Would have been great if real facts are shared the real facts like Project was supposed to be central government projects. Why did state government took the project form center?, Why did the cost escalated to more than 40k crores. Why did the current government made huge noise saying that the earlier government was looting in Polavaram name and once came to power did not bring any frauds of previous governments. Central government agreed to re-imburse all the expenses if submitted the bills correctly. Why not the current government or the previous government come out clean with out making politics on the project.

there is no isses of fund.. to distribute freebies in name of cast and political benefits they get loans in lakhs of crores but to invest in huge infra project they keep blaming central government. yearly 2000 tmc of water is left out into ocean by godavari basin. Polavaram project is planned to utilize 200 tmc of water. That 200 Tmc water can be used for agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture, industrial and drinking purposes can boost states economy to other levels. for kind notice yearly karnataka and tamil nadu fight for 20tmc of water.. Ysrcp govt is lease interested in capital expenditure. all it does is free bies politicians. 2024 Jagan is loosing very badly.

budget approved only for the project. what about R&R? R&R is the major part of fund in any irrigation project. Modi govt confirmed that they are going to give the fund only for the irrigation project. second centre just approved the project but pending funds are not released since 3 years.
