Hard to believe I've been baling hay with this thing for 20 years.

It seems like a good old machine and I agree with you that it's best to hold on to it. I'm sure it will get you across the finish line.

I have a 605XL Pete. I agree with you about how well built they are! Same for me also about the electrical, only issue I've had is the connection pins. Mine has net, but I prefer sisel twine. I replaced all of the pickup teeth with aftermarket ones. Don't ever do that! They're not worth a s**t! I literally just bought a new set from Vermeer this afternoon. I had a Gehl before, it was good, but then I didn't know any different. I got rid of that when Gehl quit making parts for them, and just 1 400 mi trip for a used part, with a lot of hay raked and ready to bale was why I got rid of it. Compared to it, the Vermeer is like a Cadillac! But now with the M and N models, it's obsolete, but I'm happy with it! Probably my greatest need for it is new belts sooner than later.

Thanks for the tip about the aftermarket teeth. Believe it or not I've never had to replace any of the pickup teeth. I only have a few cows left. I like sisel twine for my own bales, net wrap for the bales I'm going to sell.

@@farmerpete I buy many aftermarket parts, Pete, but the pickup teeth aren't worth a shoup!

The M had just come out when I got this one. I figured the newer ones must be less fussy.

Did the sun age the yellow paint differently or did you replace some panels? Thanks for another interesting and enjoyable video.

Thanks! Yes, The paint on the fiberglass doors is more faded than the paint on the metal.
