"Pros are just amateur footballers that make better decisions with the ball more consistently at a faster place" - Loved it 😍
I have always wanted to play football at a decent competitive level, even if it's just semi pro. Although Ive never played in any sort of developmental or academy set up. However I decided to trial with a second division reserve side in my country, and while i was eventually cut from the team, playing with higher level players for a month was so beneficial, I became a much better player in that short space of time, and i became so much more confident in my abilities as I started to feel like I could compete with the rest of the players in the squad

I play semi pro and before I even made the team I had only been on 2 club teams, hs teams and a rec team, I had never been on an academy, now I'm on a semi pro team, academy team and a club team my point is patience is incredible and God is great 🙏✝️

Same exact thoughts here. I know I'm likely not becoming pro, played footy from 7 to 14 then quit until I reawakened at 19 (now), might be too late. Even so I want to push my limits and achieve even a fragment of my childhood dream and the sport I love, I don't want to leave regrets knowing what "could've" been if I never tried. At least if I try my absolute hardest and fail, I know that I'm not leaving regrets.

This episode is great. Amazing knowledge and advice. Our son has left Canada and been going for it since he was 15 in Europe. He’s 19 now. The ups and downs mess with your head so much. I think when he watches this tonight it will reassure him he is on the right path.
Seriously the best video I ever saw,I'm playing u20 in my state rn(highest division of u20 in state) I played 10 minutes/900 in u16 90/900 in u17 100/900 in u20 first year And this year passed I played 950/1800 mins Gonna be captain next year, saw tons of improvement in the last 2 years Hopefully,I believe, i can make it...

@philipohippo was a good year,I wasn't the captain, I played 21/22 games in under 20 top division of my state. We got third on goal different and fight till last game. We had a second u21div which we got champion and won it all!my first ever trophy... And promoted to first division which unfortunately we got 3rd in our group of 5 and didn't qualify for next round, I'm in break now, overall it was a very hard year, but I really progressed a lot,im very grateful for that, will slowly start my training on my weaknesses which was heading and clearance also heading in attacking scenarios. Played almost 2900 min in 3 competition Looking for the next one.

In terms of how much played out of full games, I played 30/34 21/22 of u20 top division,I was suspended for yellow cards for one match Missed 2 match in second division u21 because my cards had issues and they didn't let me play for some rule thing which club got it solved And played 7/8 in the top u21,missed one due to injury.

Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. 💗😊😊
Thank you so much for this video! I found the tips extremely helpful. It’s not easy to balance the different areas of training but keeping it simple and always learning was great advice for me! Have a great day Matt! 🙌
Matt thanks for always giving us valuable information, your knowledge and experience is really appreciated by the whole community!!
YOU ARE THE GOAT FOR CREATING THIS VIDEO‼️‼️‼️
Matt, your videos are always entertaining and full of great info. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Another Great game on Saturday Matt. Not sure how you guys have the energy afterwards too sign autographs but it was much appreciated.
Dude, it's been a minute since I last watched one of your videos, but some part of me lit up like a Christmas tree, when I heard your signature opening (0:24) and just made me smile. You just have such a positive presence, that it just makes me feel optimistic and happy. Keep doing your thing, man. You rock.
Thanks for the video Matt, wish you the best in your future.
Truth be told, I've done a lot of research, read a lot of self help, done a lot of training mental and physical, and somehow, still manage to get down. It's only with the help from my friends and information from people like you that I realise, at the end of the day everybody is human, and not everyone is one and the same and that everybody has different paths to go on. Some people reach the end goal faster than others and some maybe a bit later, but the main thing is to not give up at any cost and enjoy the life one has set their hearts on, through the ups and downs. This video has opened my eyes at a time when I needed it the most, hope you continue to make videos like this, young/old ballers out there need this... 🤩
Thanks Matt. Really good advice to pass onto my son. I love your channel. Keep it up :)
Never knew I would listen to a full video like this but thanks a lot

Once again, this video provided first rate insight, focuses on just keeping it simple, being consistent, and doing the work. I am grateful that my son, and thousands of other aspiring players can benefit from your genuine willingness to share lessons learned. if you ever decide to open an academy once your playing days are over, we will fly almost wherever to come train with you! Keep it up and good luck with your new team!

Thank You, this was very much needed
Thanks for mentioning #4, I used to watch games just for the sake of it but now I have the habit of watching and analyzing games, which in turn has helped me a lot on improving my game and demeanor while in the pitch (at my age, I still play soccer at amateur level and I can say I play better now than 10 years ago).
love it! thank you very much!
Mateeee! This is so good! A lot of young players could learn a bunch from this! Thank you

Another fire channel and class player 🐐
6 years ago I did not like my coach because he put me in a defender position LB , I hate it at the beginning I wanted to play as a wing like “Neymar”…. however, later I found your channel and I start to like my position and my level improved !so fast ! I was cutting ball from very skilled wingers all day , my coach was so impressed with me ! He can put me LB RB and I was killing it . I cannot thank u enough ❤.
Thank you Matt. You gave me confidence to comeback from a patella alta and go on to sign for my first club at age 15. I still have soo much to improve and i am literally idolizing you😁

Matt, your advice, starting from 2014, was truly the beginning of my story
Great Video brother ❤
Thank you man
I don't ever comment under videos but this video is gold. Man I used to play for my national team u15s and in the top leagues of my country as a youth, and now at 19 years old i am barely playing in 5th division, I have always worked hard to become a worldclass footballer and I think that I had enough talent and hardwork to get there, Havent gotten there yet, and I sometimes i doubt myself, but this video made me feel much better and it was absolutely helpful. thank you!
Awesome points! ❤
Love it Mate God bless I agree with all of them ❤
Helped a lot man thanks
Thank you it has help me to preview a career .
love you brother.
Love you matt❤
Really great tips and your production quality is A+. Matt, I do have one question though, do you and your teammates watch Blue Lock?
Hey Matt, thank you for uploading videos for us even with the kid and the season going on right now. Im injured right now sadly, so I wanted to know what you did during the time when you were injured, and how i could improve?(Also a good two-minute-Tuesday idea😂)
It means a lot brother🥰

Love from India ⚽❤️ This 20 tips help me a lot
So many talented footballers don't have a plan and never come close to maximizing their potential. If that might be you, listen to this man...in that I appreciate his words because he has been able to push himself very close to what I perceive as his ceiling, which is about the best compliment I can give him.
thanks matt🙏
I predict u will make people BECOME ELITE not only in sport but in business, family, life and legacy. This is just the beginning for you my friend.
king matt is back.
Nice video 👍
congrats on getting man of the game!!
Fantastic video full of great advice - from a long-retired pro (that's me in my profile picture). I could've done much better myself on a number of these, and it would've no doubt improved my career. But I did okay for someone born when the game barely existed in this country.
Bro I just a Turing questions myself after this video and I realised I’ve still got time to change myself
Hey man, Your videos have been a game-changer for me, and I've got a story that I hope catches your eye. Picture this: I was a football wonderkid, dazzling as a No. 10 with skills that could've rivaled the greats. My teenage years were electric, but life threw curveballs, and my dream of going pro got benched. Now at 39, that magic feels like a distant memory, but the love for the game? That never faded. Here's the deal: I want to bring back a spark of that magic, not to turn pro, but to inspire and amaze on the pitch again, especially the younger generation. Imagine pulling off moves that whisper of Maradona's genius, even if it's just 10% of his brilliance. I'm reaching out for your wisdom on reigniting that skill and flair. Could you share some tips or drills to help me dazzle again with the ball? Your advice could light the way for many of us looking to reclaim a piece of our lost soccer souls. Thanks for inspiring us to dream and play. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
I needed to hear a few of these. Doesn't matter if l knew already, you never really know til someone who knows more says it,. You know?
heyy matt! I have seen all of your videos. I really like them. what tips can you give yo me as an indian footballer who wants to reach to the top level.
Any tips on keeping your head up when you don’t play on the weekends but are there training with the team day in and day out
God bless you.
Hello. I really appreciate your videos, all the knowledge and experience that you share. Really, really, thank you. I want to ask you, until what age do you consider a person can play in amateur or semi pro football? Normally, in pro, after 35 your level start to decrease. What do you think? WIsh you the best, for you and your family. Bless you
Thanks Matt, this is not only useful for footballers but also for people struggling with jobs hunting 😂🔥
Hi Matt, I would be grateful if you answered my question. I'm 21, couple of months ago I started working out (football specific) and I changed up my diet. I haven't gained much weight (about 1kg), I just transformed some of it into muscles.. The problem is that for some reason I'm progressively getting slower, I feel like I'm getting fatigued faster, certain aspects of my technique are getting a bit worse. Can the reason be that my body is not adapting well to those changes or I'm just overthinking and I'm just having a bad period?? Thank you and keep up the amazing content.
matt i really need this thank you! i'm arguing this ideas with ma heads and you proved me right! remember my name 'Yonatan Girma' i'll reach to the top!!!
