Castling rule is super important because if players can't castle. The start position will be +0.9 which is not balance.

At depth 39, stockfish 16 evaluates the starting position without castling as +0.2.

The queen used to move two squares diagoanally until Queen Isabella entered the areana. She was such a master of the horse and could move swiftly, so it was changed to what it's today.

I'm trying to reach 3000 rating by the 31 December 2024 online chess. I haven't played Magnus that I'm aware of. I don't think I'll be playing over-the-board chess competitively.

Regarding #10 i've just realized that the italian for checkmate ("scacco matto" literally "crazy check") most probably takes the name from the persian name, as it sounds very similar!

Fun fact:in albanian checkmate is also shah mat and chess is called shah but I dident know that means king slaying 😶
