nostalgia seeing that game so long ago of mario jumping on the flag! 😮😮😮😮

This movie proves that fan service matters. Personal opinion, this movie FAR EXCEEDED my expectations and I hope there’s a sequel/spinoff

I definitely noticed the musical piece that Bowser and Kamek were playing on the piano, and it made me feel really nostalgic.

Me and my girlfriend loved finding all the Easter Eggs while watching it in theaters. This was the video game movie we all were hoping for and turned out to be such an amazing movie.

My respect to you and your lady 👍 I searched up the voice cast and let's just say they brought childhood stars

Honestly, I was more hyped during the DK intro scene than anything else. Seeing Diddy in the stands with Dixie and Chunky Kong was AWESOME. Meanwhile, hearing the snippet of the DK Rap from DKC64 as DK himself strutted out onto the platform? **chef's kiss** Total nostalgia perfection. 🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰 (Especially given I've been slowly working my way through said game whenever I have free time. 😆)

So many amazing references in the Mario Movie, my favorite references by far is the soundtracks and the Mario game & cameo references

My Favorite one was the Spike and Wrecking Crew reference! It was a game we played a lot of as a child and was a great throw in!

I couldn't help but think that during the Peaches song, the illusions of Peach appearing in the night sky may or may not be a nod to The Princess's Final Smash in Smash Bros.

I don't remember the exact number, but it was quite a bit. And my favorite easter egg in the movie was the tv commercial theme music.

Thought I would get major eye strain from looking for all the references throughout the movie. Mario’s room alone was a trove of goodies including a poster for Kung Fu on the NES. Fantastic movie! 💯🥰🤩

I definitely noticed the music Bowser and Kamek were playing on the piano. I noticed a lot of Easter eggs in the movie, but not all of them. I’ve been a Super Mario super fan for a long time. And I didn’t care when Chris Pratt voiced Mario instead of Charles Martinet. I’m just glad he made cameo appearances in the film.

The p-running sound from Mario 3 while Movie Mario was running around Peach's Castle. I loved that nod.

He may look like a normal Toad, but I know that Toad who accompanies Mario and Peach is CAPTAIN Toad.

The first thing I noticed, and it’s my favorite reference was Luigi’s ringtone, the game cube startup sound

With the Punch-Out Pizzeria, I was thinking it could be named after “Pizza Pasta”, a forgotten boxer from the original arcade Punch-Out game. Plus, let’s see a Punch-Out movie in the future!!

I think there's a couple unresolved Easter eggs about the plumbing van. First, the "TT" logo on the front (Takashi Tezuka?). Second, the text on the PVC pipes on the roof, seems to contain some code or date (can be read on the high-resolution pic of the van).

When I saw easter eggs like Mario's dad looking like Talon, the glass Pikmin, and the Rambi emblem, I was like rapidly tapping my friend's shoulder and telling him and he couldn't understand because I was whispering lol

I loved this movie I’m glad Nintendo helped make this movie here’s hoping for a Luigi’s mansion movie spinoff

I liked when Donkey Kong and Mario rode the rocket barrel, like you do in Donkey Kong Country Returns!

Alot of people don’t know it but “Jumpman” was the original working title of The Super Mario games. Seeing a cabinet game with that Title made me smile.

I saw that. I knew what it was as well, I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned as an Easter egg in the video.

Great movie. My favorite Easter egg was the toad telling Mario that his princess is in another castle!

Good video. You guys showed me a couple of things i missed but you still barely scratched the surface! (ie; Mr. Game and Watch at 0:27) This video could be three times as long and still miss a lot of stuff!

I recognized some of the Easter Eggs while watching the movie in theaters!!!

3:00 I knew the Ring tone sounded familiar; I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. 3:36 It pronounced Martinay the "T" is silent. It's a French thing. I watched the movie and enjoyed it.

I know giuseppe he's the 3th brother of mario and luigi and he always says I'm a your bro and that pun is so hilarious

there's a pikmin on the right side of the camera in the apartment with the dog scene, diddy kong has the bongos from dk jungle beat, DK throws a wii wheel at mario when they are falling from the rainbow road

The fact that this guy pronounced a lot of names wrong, and didn't mention the fact that ludwig von koopa is also a refrence to ludwig van beethoven. Also, the blow into it reference also applys to nes and snes cartriges.

All of the Koopalings were named after famous musicians from a wide variety of eras and genres.

So you missed their former boss with the "Wrecking Crew" hat as a nod to the old Wrecking Crew game, where Mario and Luigi work as ... you guessed it, a wrecking crew. Calling him their 'former boss' implying the wrecking crew game is canon in Mario's story.

Loved the gamecube boot up song reference as Luigi's ringtone and the Mario kart race scene 💕👏🏻

Here’s a fact: The phone number and website from the SMB Plumbing commercial are both real. Calling the phone number results in a pre-recorded message from Charlie Day as Luigi!

I like how you picked someone who sounds exactly like Pratts Mario to do the voice-over here

when I saw the brothers going through the construction site while Mario goes to the burger pole, I immediately knew what it was, and it was so cool to see that while making it funny and charming.

The fact that there was a castle shaped building at the end of that sequence really sold the entire gag.

My favorite references are the Arwing, the F-Zero poster, & the first Kid Icarus game, who knew Mario was a fan of Star Fox, F-Zero, & Kid Icarus? Seeing Mario play Kid Icarus got me wanting to check out Kid Icarus Uprising, of course, if I hadn't checked out Star Fox Assault & F-Zero GX years before, I probably would've wanted to check those 2 out along with it.

17:56 they missed the opportunity to play the iconic guardians of the galaxy 1 intro song damn i will rewatch this now.

1:35 Yeah. And I think a higher pitched version of that sound is used in Super Mario World when Mario does that spin jump.

We might get the Koopalings at some points if we get sequels. But I am curious of how they'll get Bowser JR into the sequels.

I don't care if the woman from the commercial is voiced by Jean Ellias or not, the voice is very reminiscent regardless and it's a fitting tribute alongside the Mario Rap. I love that they acknowledged how cringey the Super Show was and made a point of it, which is just one of many great things in this movie.

At 6:57 you can see behind Mario and Luigi’s dad, it’s the Nintendo switch blue controller

You forgot the metal theme is from the Bowser’s Fury expansion, also Mario’s father looks like Malon’s father from Ocarina of Time.

The Kid Icarus scene reminded me of all the times I heard that death tone with "I'm Finished!" on the screen.

5:33 I feel like after this point I won't see the arcade game easter egg in the first few minutes

Go to 12:35 of the video and when mario is running you can hear a little bit of the smb3 running jingle too. SO many easter eggs and references in this movie and doubt they're even cracked half of them, leaving so many more for the 2nd movie.

My favorite was the fact Giuseppe was in the the Og Mario Colors Blue shirt Red Pants playing Jumpman

the ringtone has not only the meaning of the nintendo gamecube. When released, one of the first games for the console was luigi's mansion, which is why luigi appeared on this console before mario and is used by him as a ringtone

We had to blow into our NES, SNES, cartridges. Not just a 64. I had to do that, before, the 64 days.

That Easter Egg pertaining to Mario Kart 7 & 8 also had me and the father of my nephew thinking the EXACT same thing when Toad's ride was shown. That thought being "you think maybe he's compensating for something?" upon seeing the big ride. Even my older sister got the joke.

Another thing i noticed is that the town straight up uses Bowser’s Inside Story’s version of Toad Town, which was a huge W as an M&L fan

The portrait before they going to fix the bathroom is actually the dog from duck hunt. It's a blinking and you'll miss kind of moment.

Here the GameCube boot sound coming from Luigi's phone took me back to how I played my GameCube for hours after school.

My favorite was the dk rap song and the ending mario galaxy themes basically noticed everything I didn’t notice the pikmin at first or the f zero poster, the rest is easy loved all the references

The little ending seen with Mario coming out of the toad house and the layout is a reference to minecraft on the Wii U with the Mario built in mod that comes with the game

Those were NES cartridges complete with the black sleeves they came in. 17:57 The Song Mr. Blue Sky played in the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, also starring Chris Pratt.

6:30, that potted plant looks like an oddish

So you mention crazy cap and captain toad, but did you notice the buttons on his bag? Like the one from Tostarena. That one was on the actual movie poster and in the movie. There are probably tons more you didn't mention, but another worth noting is the hole they made breaking through the wall in the sewer. It resembles the outline of an all too familiar pixelated head.

Why is this guy more confident in a Captain Toad spinoff than he is in a Luigi's Mansion spinoff?

The fact that Mario's father looks EXTREMELY like Talon, owner of Lon Lon Ranch, got me crazy the day I watched the movie...

nice collection of the easter eggs! I find it funny how they are referencing to Ludwig being a reference to Ludwig van Beethoven on that piano (which is also in his hair), never noticed it in the movie. There are some others you made me aware of, thanks for pointing them out :) question though: what is the N64 item reference in that toad store? I never had a N64 sadly.

N64 was the last Nintendo home console to use cartridges, though the "blowing" trick (blowing on the contacts to clear dust) was far less of an issue on the N64 or even SNES as it was on the original NES.

I couldn't help but laugh at some of the Easter Eggs. XD

I really hope we get a reference to Fossil Fighters. I won't say no to a Mother/Earthbound reference either, though.

I think the only Easter egg I didn't notice was the cap shop. Other than that I noticed all of them

I noticed the iconic jump and the race. Which is a reference to Mario Cart

I love that the wall in the dinner is covered in super punch out boxers, This movie is awesome! And as Mario make the corner at the construction area, doesn’t the character on the van kinda look like mr game and watch?

My brother and I had the best time pointing out all the little references and Easter eggs throughout.

My guess about the name on the piano, is that is a simple nod to piano virtuoso and composer Ludwig van Beethoven. I think the fact that both first names are the same is unfortunately simply a coincidence.

How about "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO playing at the end. That was in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 also. Both movies staring Chris Pratt.

Mario playing Kid Icarus on the NES in his room. There's lot's of Nintendo easter eggs in his room. Especially the Arwing.

At 3:51 the man is playing Donkey Kong, not jump man.

Interesting video, but I can't help but feel like there wasn't enough supporting clips during the process of showing the various references. I'm guessing there is some sort of limit on how much of the movie you could include in your own video without it being copyright infringement?

Nintendo sits on many IPs that people want more of and thinks "nah, we don't want money."

The GameCube theme in the phone and the theme of the cartoon are my personal favorites 😊

And the GameCube jingle is Luigi ringtone because Luigi's Mansion was the first Mario related game, if not the first in absolute, on it

Ludwig Van Koopa is a parody of Ludwig van Beethoven...even his sprite looks like the composer who was also a world class pianist. I don't think it has anything to do with how the koopas will be used in the future

I'm a Playstation Fan Boy But That Movie Was what I wanted the Ratchet and Clank film to be good not awful and boring

I litteraly just watched the movie at home with my dad and I got recommanded this right after holy hell

Those are amazing and wonderful things that every Nintendo fan noticed many things in the super Mario bros movie

You can be a Nintendo fan without noticing these details-

I was thinking they’d have Samantha Mathis voice the woman from the commercial part. They made her look a bit like that movie’s Daisy so yeah.

I’m sitting down next to my Xbox friends and all these five year olds who probably play Fortnite all the time on PS4 and then there’s me calling out the Mario reference from the film

My favorite Easter egg was an audio one. D! K! Donkey! Kong! D! K! Donkey Kong is here!
