I can definitely attend more networking events. Also, by the age of 40, every man should have a good quality tool set and know how to change a flat tire!

Seen a lot of other great ideas in the comments: swimming, changing a tire, self defense, and controlling emotions to name a few. As well address the issues. Tools in my car as well as tools in the garage on the shelf . My Motto Master of All Trades, Jack of none.
Great list! I would add, as others have, learn how to physically defend yourself. This skill set bleeds into your recommendation regarding relieving stress (exercise) as well as boosting confidence, knowing you know how to take care of yourself and loved ones. I would also add learning the ability to do basic home and auto repairs. These are valuable skills which will save you money in the future and add to your ability to be self-reliant.
