Geo Just Geo they're incredible for film, and okay/good for most types of music. i actually just typed up a more in depth reply on the avsforum psa speaker thread, let me copy that here: 100% agree. for some types of music, the psa speakers sound absolutely incredible (classical, female vocals, instrumental, older stuff like led zeppelin, pink floyd, etc.). however, (and this is just my opinion of course) they are too bright & in your face for other genres/feels of music (melodic death metal, sceamo/emo, trance, techno, pop, rap, etc.). home theater though? HAH, these speakers are incredible and worth every penny and then some. i created my dedicated home theater room to enjoy film & high quality tv shows. occasionally i'll listen to music but honestly prefer to listen to music on warmer speakers. i think at lower volumes you can listen to any kind of music you like with these speakers, but at higher volumes they're a bit fatiguing and too bright (for most genres). it seems strange almost, that with some kinds of music the speakers come alive and feel like they're in another league, and then with other types they feel too bright/harsh/fatiguing. maybe my sentiments will resonate with other owners, who knows. fwiw, i nearly pulled the trigger on the sierra towers but opted out when i learned of their low(er) efficiency--even more so with the ribbon tweeters. god help you need to replace one after you vaporize it at louder listening levels :/
