About us: We run an online Etsy shop where we sell mostly laser cut goods and files. At first, our business was mainly crochet and knitwear, but in 2020 we pivoted to strictly laser cutting. We really like the infinite possibilities laser cutting brings, and also enjoy coming up with my own unique designs. 😊 ----------

Yes we started with a Glowforge, but agree that they are pricey. Depending on what you want to make should dictate what machine you should get. A more reasonable machine that can go a lot at a cheat price is the WeCreat vision laser. It doent have a passthrough, but can engrave things like tumblers of thicker items.

It’s a laser cutting machine (desktop size) used for cutting and engraving various materials such as wood, acrylic and more. It can be used for hobbyists or for those that want to start a business selling their items.
Should have included what you’re able to charge for each item.

A great rule of thumb we like to use is shoot for 5-7x our material costs. Granted sometimes we have to do 3, but 5-7 is where we like to be. The reason we don;t necessarily say is because everyone uses different material for each project. Prices of material go up over the years. For example, birch is much more expensive per piece than when this video was released. Hope that helps.
