Where our indigenous people (Sami) live. The old Norwegian language is called norse, or "norrønt" in norwegian

  • @collectorduck9061

@@multiomer1997 No. Old norwegian is old norse. There are variations of old norse for each country, although the major groupings would be Old east norse (old danish/old swedish) and old west norse (old norwegian/old icelandic). The Sami are a shared indigenous people. (shared as in norwegians/swedes etc. and sami are both indigenous) Not the original peoples like native americans, but thought to have settled the north around the same time as the south was settled by walking from russia. So their language has roots elsewhere.

Learning words from lyrics and memorizing many lyrics is definitely one of the best language learning techniques, though it should be combined with the other great methods, such as spaced repetition and using Google translate and Wiki whenever necessary - watching lots of vocab videos and lots of videos on grammar and prepositions / adverbs of time / conjunctions and verbs and pronunciation etc multiple times, over a period of time, and usually at least twice per session (or 2 or 3 times a day, every 3 days, and then once a week etc, until each word can be remembered and processed automatically, which is referred to as spaced repetition, and memorizing as many lyrics as possible and also translating each word one by one, and watching all videos with subs in the target language etc, are the best language learning methods! That’s how I learn all the languages that are on my list of languages I want to learn and improve, and I managed to get to an advanced level in Dutch and to an upper intermediate level in Norwegian / German / Swedish, and to an upper beginner level in Old Norse and Icelandic, even though I only started learning languages on my own last year - I also use Google translate and Wiki a lot, especially when I don’t know the article of a new noun! The vocab videos from Simple Norwegian and the video with the 2.000 words in Norwegian and the videos from the Norwegian With Karen yt are really good for the most part, despite some of the annoying pix, but luckily most pix used in most videos are nature pix and cartoons / drawings, anyway, and they are very helpful for beginners and intermediates that are learning Norwegian, so I highly recommend learning all the words from those videos - I have also learnt almost all the words from most of those videos myself, so I know over 5.000 words in Norwegian at the moment and am pretty close to advanced level!
