    Can't believe you didn't have anything interesting to say about Soul Sand Valleys... There's a LOT of cool things about it! The only mobs that spawn in Soul Sand Valleys are Skeletons, Ghasts, Endermen (rarely), and Striders. Not only that, but the biome also has special spawning conditions that limit the number of mob spawns for the mobs that spawn in the biome. Because of this, when Nether Fortresses generate in Soul Sand Valleys the spawn rates of the fortress mobs are increased (because Wither Skeletons, Blazes, Zombie Piglins, and Magma Cubes aren't in the list). Secondly, Nether Fossils generate all over the biome, making it a really quick and easy way to get tons of bone meal if you don't have a skeleton farm. Having Soul Speed also makes it the most fun to traverse too.

Had to get a PS4 so I could get all the updates past the Aquatic update which is where Crimson Roots were then spawned/generated in the Soul Sand Valleys and Netherwart was removed to the occasional Bastion and Wither/Nether Fortresses. I wish mojang would localise weather. Therefore, the warmer/humid climates may have rain, while perhaps the plains does not. Code wise, this could be achieved with scores and modifiers. The game already has a way of keeping track of rain with days. However what the game could do is have a score for the world and apply to the biomes. Should a biome qualify for rain on a certain day, it will have rain while a biome that does not qualify won't rain. Humid biomes can have a modifier that increases the score for that biome, as well as dry biomes (like deserts), which could have modifiers that decrease the score for that biome. This may help ensure biomes such as rainforests have more rain, while the savannah won't. Not only that, it may add more variety to biomes with unique weather events. Imagine a savannah with a very low rain score that could be in a drought. Or a tropical beach with a very high rain score would be in a stormy monsoon. The same goes for a snow biomes with a high rain (or weather) score that could have blizzard conditions. Or a desert with a high weather has sand storms.

  • @RaiderAvian

    @RaiderAvian

    5 ай бұрын

    Special weather conditions may also augment or lead to unique mob encounters. Imagine a blizzard summoning snow golems, or even causing normal snow golems to transform into mosntrous creatures the player has to fight. Or a monsoon causing drowned to spawn on land. Or a new mob entirely that only spawns in a certain weather condition. They could be a boss that revives/activates a new ruin for reneweable loot. They could generate new structures in selected chunks the player can find and expect to find the creature under the right weather conditions. More over, with the decentralised world score for weather, the game can afford to run in seasons. Where the score and modifiers for the biomes change over time. Assuming that mojang would presumably have to adjust the lentgh of time similar to the lentghs of the days and nights. I would consider a season would last 30 in game days (20 min per day x 30 days = 600 real life minutes, or 10 hours) Granted it is a long time, however the seasons could be shortened or the season changed via commands. The idea is for the changes to be gradual. Forcing the fast paced player to slow down as well as let longer running players enjoy the world changing around them. The game has an unfortunate side effect of being stationary or riggid. While mobs, animations, atmoshpere and music could breathe life into the world. A world/server can sadly stagnate over time, because once the player has found everything, done everything. The excitement dies off and leaves the player to keep themselves motivated to keep playing ok their own.

    Outro joke didn’t quite hit the mark, 6/10. Don’t nether fortresses in soul sand valleys spawn more mobs, including wither skeletons, making them good places to farm wither skeleton skulls? 🤔

    In the diverse biomes of Minecraft, from the serene Mushroom Islands to the shadowy Dark Forests, we find more than just pixels-each landscape tells a story of transience, duality, and the depths within ourselves. Yet, as we philosophize on these virtual realms, the unexpected twist is a simple wish: To get pinned comment.

    Easy. I always hold my map in the off hand. Also, as Toycat and SkipThe Tutorial will both tell you, you can hold a bow in the off hand (or sword) and the enchantments go on the 1 in the main hand too + you can confuse people in PVP (SkipTheTutorial explains in some of his on how that 1 works).
