The iron golem kills zombie villagers to protect the rest of the village. The Golem probably doesn’t want to, but has to for the greater good of the village.

Interesting. I can't very well say what it appeared as to me... a kind of sci-fi, I think I'd place it there. A lone wandering miner on a distant planet covered with strange ruins. Funny, makes me think, I don't think I ever really got their effort for "realism" e.g. farm animals and tree varieties etc. I wonder if it would have been stronger if all those things were alien. ...Since the red-stone and landscapes have a fantastical, alien feel. The sheep and cows never quite fitted in to me.

Something interesting about light. In bedrock, when making an iron golem, the light from the jack-o-lantern would remain behind even after the block disappeared. This was a couple years ago I noticed this so I'm not sure if it still works, but if it does, it would be a nice way to get invisible lighting in a survival world

Did you know that you can just buy tipped arrows of weakness from a fletcher (if you are lucky enough to get it as your last trade) and use that instead of the splash potion of weakness for zombie villager curing? I tried this and it works which means that you don't need to brew the splash potions of weakness which means that it is possible to make a zombie villager infecting and curing stations early to mid game. the boat minecart trick is beyond fenomenal because you can ride 2 mobs on the boat, while the boat technically sit on the cart, so you need only one cart for two mobs. it also is amazing to load villagers between big distances because you can sit in the boat along a villager and if you press S/W the cart will be quite fast in the rails without the use of golden rails AND will allow the boat to go upwards in a slope if you have rails

One thing that made zombie village so rare is that they generation wasn't based on the world seed, so you couldn't share a seed with a zombie village, you had to find it by exploring but I think this was changed in 1.18

@@juluke8385 I think they meant, if one person found a seed with it, and shared that seed with someone else, it wouldn't have that village necessarily. Thus making it hard for anyone to find them without looking for them on their own, which a lot of people don't have time to do, or don't know how to do, or just can't because they're playing survival and just don't have the resources yet to set out on an exploration trip to an unknown destination that they may or may not find. Doesn't really make them rare, technically, but it did make them harder to find, and harder to just follow someone else's example by going to the same seed and doing the same things. Which means a lot of people probably just didn't bother unless they lucked into it. Personally I didn't even know they existed til I found one accidentally in survival one day. Had to load up a creative version of the same world to verify that it was supposed to look like that lol

I think the theory behind mangrove root placement is that roots above ground tend to go down, towards/into the ground. Muddy roots are already in the ground, and thus might not go straight down, but sideways instead to find more nutrients. The logic isn't fully sound, as lots of roots do go sideways above ground, but it makes the most sense to me.

I kinda just assume the golem is “programmed” to kill any zombie or threat to the village. Maybe it doesn’t recognize the zombie villager as an old villager

Something weird I found is that if you put a villager in a boat and drive it into a minecart, the minecart will start to drive itself automatically. Idk if this was just a one time thing, but it’s great for moving villagers

Minecraft is supposed to be in the Middle Ages? Isn’t it just a random time? I mean you don’t HAVE to build medieval structures and it’s not like anything Steve can make is something that didn’t come from before medieval times

I've never heard anyone say minecraft was "supposed to be in the middle ages". I always saw it as more of a high concept fantasy setting. The default skin wears jeans and a t-shirt. I guess is could be said even earlier tbh since... in the high middle ages they had guns.

About the iron golem one, there was a snapshot i think, where iron golems would kill normal villagers. It was happening if you beat a raid, you know that villagers launch fireworks to celebrate, well if the villager that launghed a firework was in a house with another villager and the firework would have damaged him, the iron golem would get mad at him and kill it. About tall grass/fern, you can bonemeal the normal ones to grow them bigger, in bedrock that action doesn't use your bonemeal, like it doesn't consume it. That way you could have an infinite source of grass

  • @matthewparker9276

Does the infinite grass work with dispensers? Moss would make it obsolete, but if so, that would be an infinite bonemeal farm.

@@matthewparker9276 Ok, so dispensers still use the bonemeal. Also it doesn't work on seagrass and it seems to be a really low chance of the bone meal toactually be consumed sometimes
