This helped a lot thanks!! As soon as I get the game I'll do a bunch levels

I like how you can do so much with the koopalings. Larry, Iggy, and Wendy pretty much have the most use for so many boss fights. Put canons on them, put them on tracks, make a giant mech for them to fight in, stuff like that. As for the other 4, you can make terrain and arenas more unique. Lemmy has bouncing balls which act like moving bumpers, Morton's groundpound move along a wall continuously, Roy digs into the ground, so the arena can break with bombs so it makes it more challenging for you and Roy, and Ludwig with wings and 3-5 projectiles is just cool. One more thing. *why has nobody recreated bowser jr's boomsday machine from Mario Galaxy 2? We have the mechanics to do it!*

Ludwig in any game style makes up for awesome bullet hell levels, though Iggy isn't a bad option either.

My favorite Koopaling is DEFINITELY the prodigy, the icon of the Koopalings, the legend, LUDWIG VON KOOPA.

Lemmy is the best Koopaling when it comes to Maker. His bouncy balls open up tons of options for traditional stages, puzzle levels, and more that the other Koopalings don’t have.

It's not hard to make an interesting koopaling fight. Like Roy, All you need is an interesting, unique shaped arena. A flat castle arena isnt going to cut it.

I really love Morton. His ability to send fireballs along the ground is not extraordinary. But add semi-solid blocks and he can send them to Mario. Add frozen coin blocks and he can activate mechanisms for sure. He's got potential, and to show you, I've created four fights with Morton. I'll add them to castle levels later. My favourite loop along has gone through a lot of changes First for 5 months Roy I thought he looked the coolest ( I was young ) Then for 6 years Ludwig because I liked his hair and personality Then for 2 years Larry idk why I just liked him ( I like blue ) And recently I’ve grown to love ........ LEMMY i love his personality being childish and showing that by having bouncy balls This video helped me a lot I’m making my own game with world maker and this is the order the koopalings will be in 😄 Wld 1 Wendy Battle basic small area Wld 2 iggy Battle I love the chain Chomp one in this video it will probably be my castle fight Wld 3 Larry Battle I don’t know yet hopefully something challenging Wld 4 lemmy or Roy idk which one to chose I think lemmy fits with a jungle theme more but I want lemmy to be further but Roy can have rlly unique arenas so idk about that Wld 5 and 6 lemmy or Morton So if Roy was world 5 koopaling world 6 would be Morton but if Roy was wld 4 then I still think Morton should be 6th Battle for Morton I like the idea of a seesaw going up a high tower as Morton can ground pound And wld 7 is Ludwig idk I think he just fits the theme as the final koopaling If you read this then thank you 😁

I think creating a boss fight in a closed room is easier to imagine. Making a whole castle takes time, you have to check that the player can't "break" the level while ensuring a medium difficulty.

Azurite that's honestly my biggest fear when making Mario maker bosses, I wanna make something new but I'm scared I'll just make enemy spam

I love how a lot of these are inspired by their super Mario world, NSMBU, NSMB2 and NSMBW boss fights.

personally, my ranking of the koopalings in smm2 is as follows: 7. *Larry*- All he does is shoot projectiles and does nothing else. I don’t like his basic abilities 6. *Wendy*- Wendy’s projectiles are quite slow but can create nice survival rooms or in autoscrollers if combined with other enemies. Can’t be used for many types of levels and I wish she could have any other gimmicks 5. *Iggy*- His projectiles are reasonably fast and when he pilots particular equippable items (eg. Lakitu Clouds) it can make for a good (potential) level experience. Again, doesn’t have an amazing gimmick but still can be used in creative ways. I wish he could enter pipes like he could in the original SMBU game 4. *Roy*- Roy’s gimmick (teleporting to different parts of the arena is very unique. I also like his stun attack which can increase the difficulty of the level. However, his projectiles are slow, which puts him below lemmy. 3. *Lemmy*- Lemmy’s balls are very multi-purposed and can be used for loads of different levels (puzzle levels, boss battles, standard levels etc.) and also have many properties. However, I would really like him to have different gimmicks as well (possibly walking in midair or something insane like that). 2. *Ludwig*- Ludwig has the fastest projectiles out of all of the koopalings, increasing the difficulty of boss battles, survival rooms, even p-balloon, frog or smb2 levels etc. I also really favour his flutter jump because that makes his attacks more unpredictable and creative in any type of level, especially when you attach wings to him. 1. *Morton*- This is my favourite koopaling due to its diversity of attacks in levels (his fast banana projectiles are a bonus too!) His ground pound attack can stun the player whilst breaking blocks/activating on and off switches, seesaws and i could go on. Even the fireballs he spawns can be used in so many different ways (eg. with yoshi, frozen coins and much more). Easily the most diverse koopaling which can be used to create the most creative levels in general. It can be used for not only boss battles, but for many different types of levels. Despite the fact some koopalings have basic abilities (Larry and Wendy) it has opened so many creative possibilities and I can’t wait to make a level with a koopaling boss battle/ play the koopaling levels in this video.

I have a creative koopaling boss fight called "double trouble" Mario goes to a airship with millions of sweet gold but he encounters larry and his brother, ludwig. The arena is made p-blocks and a spike throws spikeballs that'll plunge mario to his muncher death if it hit the p-switches. When mario hits the on-off switch, a small spike can throw a spikeball at it's on-off switch to prevent cheese from happening

My favorite Koopalings has to be my boy Larry Koopa because he is underrated And I like him in the Smb3 cartoon as Cheasty koopa ;)

Ludwig is my favorite because when I first started playing piano I couldn't find anything that interested me but then I found "fur elise" and I instantly fell in love with it, after that I learned moonlight sonata, penny session, sonatina session and sonata session, I probly wouldn't be playing piano right now if it weren't for betovan, and that's why I love ludwig (and he has sick hair)

Ludwig is my favorite koopaling, he’s definitely the hardest and most versatile. Well, except maybe Larry, he’s more versatile but much easier.

Here’s another idea: Mario enters a castle that looks deserted and decided to enter it to see what is in it. He finds Yoshi, and is surprised because he’s never seen a Yoshi inside a castle. With Yoshi, he traveled up a staircase and found a walking machine made out of a giant dry bones on the bottom and cannons and bill blasters that shoot winged Lava Bubbles making up something that looked like a tank or vehicle. Inside of this machine was Larry, who used his wand to shoot magic blasts at them. In this fight, Mario will have to use Yoshi to devour a winged lava bubble or magic blast and spit it back at Larry. Defeating him will take a total of 15 hits, regardless of what Yoshi spits at him. Because of the vertical autoscroll, if he loses Yoshi, he’ll mess up and have to start over. Once our dynamic duo deal enough damage, they can get the key and escape.
