This is probably my favorite adventure that I've ever taken. And I did it with my good friend Thomas, from @YesTheory. We hitched a ride on a 20-hour ire ore train, that travels across the Sahara Desert of Mauritania. It's the world's longest, heaviest, and most dangerous train, and let me tell you, it was the experience of a lifetime.
I've been wanting to take this train ride ever since my first trip to Mauritania in 2019. And after Thomas invited me, I couldn't help but say yes.
Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for more videos across this incredible West African nation called Mauritania!

Once you’re there you just wait for the train and hop on. Bring some covers and warm clothes as the night and early morning are chilly. And don’t worry about being a female traveller Mauritanians are some of the most friendly and respectful people around, I’d also advise you to learn a little french or Arabic as English is spoken by almost no one, especially in remote areas. That's an epic Journey. This reminds me of my 20 hour Journey in an Indian Bus (I know you've had really bad experiences there Drew) and Taxi from Hamirpur, HP. to a remote Himalayan town called Kaza in Spiti Valley. I and my travel mate inadvertently crossed the disputed Indo-China border near Shipki-La Pass and ended up getting caught by Indian Border Patrol (thankfully). It was an impromptu trip, very poorly planned in middle of Himalayan winters, we thankfully ended up safe but one of my best travel stories so far...you're right...best adventures happen when you're out of your comfort zone!

@@TankEngine75 it's not dangerous, just exhausting. The main dangers are the chocs when it starts or stops (due to it's length) and the dust on the loaded trains. Drew rode on the head of the train, where the dust is not so much a problem. Of course you can also pay to ride in the passenger coach or the staff vans at the end of the train, which are much more confortable.

This is why people should watch multiple travel KZreadrs. A few weeks ago, I watched Bald and Bankrupt's video when he was in Mauritania and it really pissed me off and felt sorry for him for having a bad time there with the locals. However, now that I watched Drew's video, it really made me happy that Mauritanians are actually not that bad as shown in Bald and Bankrupt's video. I'm not sure of this but I think that the reason there is this difference between the two is that maybe Drew is more considerate and careful when filming people and the streets while Bald and Bankrupt is more like an arrogant sometimes and he likes to make fun of the locals.
