Recently the channel hit 20k subs, so to celebrate, me, and 20 other game developers made a game together. Surprisingly, I think it turned out pretty good, and I'm pretty happy with it. So thanks again to everyone who helped out with the game, and to those who helped me reach this milestone.

About me:
Hey, I'm BenBonk, an indie game developer who uses the Unity Engine. I've made and released many small games before on my itch page, though now I'm attempting to make my first commercial game, Slimekeep. Slimekeep is a roguelike, using a very limited color palette, similar to Enter the Gungeon, though with a few interesting mechanics, such as keeping slimes alive longer will earn you more money, and the ability to capture slimes to power up your slime pet. If you enjoyed anything you saw, please consider subscribing, as it really helps me out.

In level 10, near the end of the puzzle, there's a gap that's just barely too small to fit thru, I have no idea what the real solution is.
In a nutshell: I passed it off to (developer), and they made these changes. When they were done, I spent most of my time figuring it out, and also fixing it a bit.

You could have teams of like eleven, one person is the communicator/team leader and the rest take turns editing the game. This way there can be a person like Benbonk that knows what has been going on throughout the game's development but it's not just the team leader that does the work.
This is the most chaotic challenge in existence. I swear I'd be terrified to try this lmao

I can't do much in an hour, much less do all the stuff these devs did! I would just be yelling at my PC and taking over an hour to get one of the simpler mechanics..
This video is so cool... Awesome to see everyone come together like this. Great concept for a video as well! I had a blast participating, Thanks BenBonk!!!!
This was really fun to work on Ben, thanks for doing this!
I'm very glad I got to participate! Thank you for hosting this!
this is such an awesome idea. Looks awesome man ! and loved the video and editing :)
I've never been flashbanged so many times in one video. That level transition is brutal. Especially in timelapses.
This is amazing. This is exactly what GameJams supposed to be: collaborating, trying something new, adapting, learning and having fun. I have just one major issue with this video: it is not obvious to the viewer how everyone (and especially BenBonk) experienced the "level up" feeling. I bet there were tons of eureca moments, surprises and mindset changing moments in the process. Otherwise - well done guys. Respect!
Kind of late here, but thank you so much for including me in this video! I had a blast programming for my hour! :D
"Making hard levels can be very hard" 🧐
Wow! Congratulations on 20k+ subs! The idea of getting 20 devs to work on the game is cool but crazy. It's a miracle that it's not a hot mess. Well done to you all!
Yo, watched the vid yesterday but forgot to comment haha Congratz on 22k and thanks for having!
Looks Great! it was really funny to watch how many different Game devs made a game, some cleaning up code, making art, level design, bugs etc! I would love to be as good as you guys! :-)
I played this, and the version where you turn “i am on a not so good pc” looks SO much better. I mean, who would want to play with a blurry screen?

I love this idea... Made my imagination go, and I did wondered before if there was no real direction and different developers added what they wanted (without trolling the project)
Congrats on 20K. almost 30K!
in summery " I fixed 20ppl code " this's me in one of my projects I spent 10 hours a day doing fixes and 2 hours adding stuff for entire week
This format is MEGA cool!
Finally get to watch this video. Looking cool Benbonk
These game jams are always fun, it's great to see how ideas evolve over time.
This game is pretty good! It can be played on mobile, the levels are challenging but fun, the art is good, and the audio/music slaps. The "I am on a not-so-good computer" mode is useful, too. 9/10
Great format, thx
this is awesome! u should do more of these
This is a really good video, thank you. I appreciate content like this.
Bravo everyone! This was an amazing work of art from a development standpoint. And an amazing feat.

Oh, how i wished some talented, young Programmers would make a HunterxHunter Game. Until now, no one has done real-good with this, despite the franchise being so super-popular and it’s magic-system being even more popular.
one of the nicest puzzle arcade games i played. love the levels!
I’ve been subbed since 1k now you have 20k time flies by😅 anyways congratsssss ben!
This is a super cool idea for a game!
5:09 it's mope .io dragon lol but really good video
Played the game, was very intuitive and fun, got to level 9 and played a dozen times for maybe ten minutes and couldn't fit though the one wide hole, never saw the switch on the bottom left the entire gameplay... That's my small piece of advice/testing. Awesome vid, you should try this again sometime.
This was really fun - so impressive what you managed to come up with. I love how the simple idea that you started with, and didn't really know where it was going, turned into this really clever little puzzle game
I’m really late but I loved the idea the people you featured were great and you are too Im really impressed how polished the game is
Please don't camera shake with rotation, it causes mad motion sickness on those who are susceptible. You should always aim to keep the horizon line stable when shaking the camera to avoid triggering motion sickness. (zooming in and out can help with this).
"I didn't finish it, as making hard levels can be really hard" 7:43 Wow, I didn't know that!
If I were a contributor, I would have made an animation for when the character finishes and starts a level. At the end, he would shrink or get absorbed by the green block. At the start a squared green light would summon the character. This gives some sort feel of progression, as entering and existing the level now is fluid and logical. (As far as an abstract game has logic) Awesome idea and great execution guys! You can alle be very proud! :D
ben was just the glue holding it together
This is such an excellent idea
yo did not expect to hear my guy N8Dev, see my friend Markossita get mentioned as well Affax and Retro. Nice surprises! congrats on 22k dude.

To the guy that added cracks to the blocks to indicate its health.... Congratulations! Hands down best addition that is not a core mechanic.
If I were to add a single mechanic to this game that would allow for a ton more level design, it would be one that limits where the cursor can click on screen, so that you could wall off certain regions of a level and add additional challenge to navigation based on available areas to click for some levels. It would bring use to some physics like rebounding off walls as an example.
Such a cool idea!!
I suppose regular folks would focus on the new features being added, but I'd like to give a shout out to the devs who did refactoring, optimization, and had the foresight to know when it wouldn't be a good idea to add new features.
You deserve more than 20 k you deserve 50 mil subs
This is really cool! Do more like this XD
10:58 The quit button is indeed very special
I loved it! 🎉 Great work and very interesting video! Hello!!!! Dev. From your new subscriber!
This was such a good idea but also imagine the chaos if you don't tweak things a bit that broke in-between
I really like how this game looks
i love how you usually see in these videos, all the developers working on a game one by one until the last person finishes. Then theres just Ben, working on the game every time somebody else finishes there part lol.
This kind of collaborative coding is such a cool concept!
Actually a really fun game, great job guys!
Why do you only have 24.8k :( you are really good at editing videos, making games and your content is the best
there's so many people that worked on this that a lot of the comments are 'it was so fun to work on this!!'
That sounds like so much fun
fun fact: in lvl 6 you can get softlocked by getting in just by the time you make it into the room, without all blocks destroyed just a little bug, i think you can fix it
i think when the ball hits a orange square its face should change to be like a reaction like >x[ or something like that
This game was very fun on my phone. It plays much better on a phone than it does on a computer. You can ignore all error messages. Besides the post-processing effects (which don't show up even with potato mode turned Off) and the camera in level 7 (which sometimes jitters because the screen aspect ratio is wider than anticipated), everything works perfectly.
@DreamerHCF

How do you play on phone ?
Shout out to the guy who refactored the code. Not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need.
You almost got me with the rickroll, SO CLOSE, saved by an ad.
5:09 hmm, this cursor design is quite familiar... i wonder who could've created that original design concept
Props to the guy who spent his time organizing the code, it's so important but also so boring to do
A cool idea would be a global leaderboard for how many clicks you used throughout the game

5k subs in a week, noice!
I have an idea! It would be really cool to see you make a game for controllers.
It would of been cool if you had a level where you included glass and you had to rotate the glass where the lazer won't block the exit. In short a level where the lazer reflects off glass

awesome game, enjoyed it very much :D
I was thinking you could make the ball suck up the particles from the broken blocks, and that’s how you’d get money
Have I missed something? How can you add post processing to the UI if not by having a game space canvas?
