We have a fee dig at Fisher Mountain--it runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday every week (we plan on being open seven days a week soon). Just come to 11 Logan Gap Road, Mount Ida, Arkansas 71957 to purchase mining permits for you and the members of your group. We also offer private pocket digs at Fisher Mountain, Hamilton Hill, and the Zigras mine--if you're interested, just email us at avantmining@gmail.com and we'll send you our 2020 price list for digs!

I never understood why people created videos with blurry sides until I had to edit vertical videos shot in the field with phones--most video editing software only exports to a horizontal format, a widescreen-tv friendly image, which creates large dead zones of black on either side of the video. To keep that space filled with active imagery, editors usually create a background layer with an enlarged, blurred version of the original video. Turning your phone sideways when you shoot videos completely eliminates the need for this workaround, but most people are too used to filming with their phones held vertically.
