So impressive from both camera angles! I love your idea to try this method on all attempts to remove these dams. It’s a real show of the power and force of retained bodies of water. I marvel at strength of the dams and the ability of the beavers to construct them!

Yes today was one of your best collapses. You sure did keep a sharp eye on that dam while you were working to get it to collapse. Must have been the cracking sticks making you a little more wary than usual. Say hello to Mama and the Elfa.

You are making dam removal interesting and dramatic. Pulling material out of the front of the dam makes for a better and deeper collapse.

I enjoy but wish you would take the whole dam out and clean up the sticks kind of like not finished

We could actually see the water slowly breaking through the bottom of this dam, then the top dropped a bit, water started over the top and the whole shebang went down river. Nice videography. 😂🎉

I don't know if it's been addressed already, but I'm curious about what you do with all the sticks pulled off the dam. Are they removed elsewhere so beavers don't just reuse them?
